“I..want to do something besides homework for once. Do you want to do something fun? Go out or watch a movie, doesn’t matter.”

“Does that mean you’ve forgiven me? Or did you think I was someone else?” Beau was very much surprised, but he tried not to let it show too much.

“Only a week back and I already feel bogged down with papers.” She sighed, flopping down in her chair with her latte. She stirred her coffee slowly. “I mean, what’s the point of going over different Shakespeare adaptations, right?” She shook her head. “I mean, I know the point. But I can only think about Romeo and Juliet or Romeo and Juliet inspired stories so many times.”

“Some of them are pretty unique, actually. Gnomio and Juliet was a pretty cute movie, and Warm Bodies was unexpected. Nothing about zombies usually screams Romeo and Juliet.” Beau knew he was probably pretty biased, but he was a big fan of Shakespeare. “It’s learning how someone can take a base idea and turn it into so many different brilliant stories.”

As a general thing to everyone, I’m sorry if I’ve been more of an asshole than usual.  It’s been a tough month.  And that’s not an excuse.  Just a statement of fact.
Eh, you had reason enough, I guess. As long as you weren’t an asshole to any teachers or higher ups I don’t see it being an issue.

\Malcolm: I don't know...Probably everyone on campus.
Malcolm: Good. Me too.
Malcolm: You and Mama are having the same daydream.
Malcolm: Honestly she could be purple and shaped like a pineapple and I'd still swear she was the most beautiful thing in creation. Not that there's going to be any question about that. Like you said, tiny Belle.
Beau: Christ almighty why am I not more surprised by that.
Beau: Yeah? I'm grateful.
Beau: It'd be beautiful. Maybe your eyes too. You both have a dozen fantastic features, kid's going to be real damn lucky getting any of them.
Beau: If she's purple and shaped like a pineapple then she probably exists in a cartoon world and needs serious medical help. Tiny Belle, tiny Mal, either way the world's gonna need to watch out. Kid's going to be a pint sized boss either way you toss it, and gorgeous to boot.

Iris bit her lip, crossing her arms as she heard him out. She thought confronting him would make him feel better but it didn’t really. Honestly, now she just wanted to leave. “Just…here.” She ran her left hand down her wrist, slipping off the bracelet that adorned it and dropping it on the table beside him. “You should probably give that to Belle,” she said, dipping her head before turning and disappearing into a group passing by.

Watching Iris leave was like a nail in the coffin for his night. He still had no idea what was happening with Malcolm and Belle or how to handle it, he’d managed to push both Josh and Iris away, and on top of that he really couldn’t allow himself any more alcohol. With one last look towards her he took off to find Mitchell, certain the man would be down for him hiding away for a bit.

[Friday night]
Malcolm: Belle sent you the sonogram pics, right?
Malcolm: She's two months along, due March 27th!
Malcolm: It's a girl!
Malcolm: She's the size of a lime and looks kind of like a lumpy one in the pictures, but she's so beautiful and I love her and I still can't believe this is happening Beau...
Beau: How many people have you already showed the sonogram pic to?
Beau: She sent it to me almost immediately, said she wanted me to be one of the first to know.
Beau: Can you imagine a little tiny Belle with your curls? I'm stuck on the kid getting your curls because it'll be the biggest disappointment if they don't.
Beau: You already imagining what she'll look like?
