Its far far too long
First of all there's no steven. Fuck Steven, fuck greg. They're absolutely useless, good for nothings. Whatever Steven was supposed to represent as a coming together of humanity and gemkind was absolutely fucking useless cause guess what??? Humans do absolutely nothing for the entirety of the show and have nothing to offer. Fuck humans. And although Connie is alright we're gonna scrap Connie cause she doesnt deserve to be anyone's "knight" (e.i. slave) she's her own person, she's off having her own adventure. Okay cool.
Steven Universe is now called The Crystal Gems or smth along that lines. There are Four Crystal Gems. Garnet, Pearl, Bismuth, and one brand new one who just formed out of a kindergarden named Amethyst. Amethyst is an over cooked gem and a total wild child. Amethyst doesn't know anything of her purpose or meaning of what it means to be a gem. Garnet is the senior gem, the oldest of all four of them who teaches Amethyst about Gem history, but only in pieces as to not overwhelm her about the gem war. The gem war was not 1000000 years ago as that's fucking stupid, it came to a head only 200 years ago with G, P, and B thought to be the last three surviving rebellioners.
The gems live in an abandoned house on Earth where they dont draw attention to themselves. They didn't rebel to go to earth cause that's fucking stupid, they merely live on earth for now until they're found by the Diamonds and they're forced to flee and this has happened many many times before. They live in constant fear.
Garnet is a calm, cool, collected, and always happy soul. She's a proud permafusion, but sometimes unfuses for training purposes. She's not the "leader" per say, but she's the one everyone looks up to that always has the answers. No future vision tho cause that's fucking stupid. Garnet is a firm hater of the diamonds and she'll talk shit about them any day. She is often found hiding alone crying about the friends she lost in battle. She understands the importance of always looking put together in front of the other gems, so she hides her feelings well. Garnet knows how to read the stars and maintains their spaceship (that they stole from the gem empire) keeping it prepared for the next moment they need to flee. She is an older sister figure to Am. Garnet has electric powers.
Ruby is one half of garnet. Ruby is a soilder of war w/ horrible PTSD that's only soothed when she's fused with Sapphire. Ruby is an outspoken individual and her best friend in the world is Bismuth. Ruby is not fucking stupid, in fact she worked a lot w/ Diamond Authority soilders before the rebellion and was a key aspect in training Crystal Gems to block and overpower their attacks. She has fire powers
Sapphire is one half of Garnet. Sapphire once belonged to Blue Diamond and witnessed her cruelty first hand. Sapphire has crippling anxiety and constantly worries about the future and what will become of her friends. Sapphire is the Mom Friend, and she will do anything to protect her friends including die. Sapphire has ice powers. Yes future vision but it is very limited and often doesnt work bc her extreme anxiety does not allow her to see clearly. Usually can she can only see the darkest timelines. That helps them to be avoided but it's terrible for her mental health.
Bismuth is Garnet's right hand. Bismuth likes to joke around far too much. She uses humor to mask her emotions. Bismuth helped create the weapondry used to fight the Diamond Authority, though now her talents are mainly used to create hiding places for the gems. Bismuth is warm and inviting to all, and regrets so many of the horrible things she had to do as a war soilder, but realizes they were necessary to breaking the chains of oppression on her and her friends. Sometimes she thinks it'd just be easier to give in to the diamonds ( :( ) Bismuth is like an older sister figure to Amethyst and they goof off together all the time. Bismuth constantly tells Am of all the other Amethysts she knew during the course of the war and even before then. Bismuth has an open heart to any and all gems and can be anyone's friend easily as long as they aren't an asshat.
Pearl gets along well w/ the other gems. She's often quiet and brooding, but once out of her shell, she can be just as energetic and friendly as Bismuth. Pearl trusts no one, and is cold and condescending to Amethyst at first until they warm up to each other. Pearl is the best fighter of them all, even better than Garnet and Ruby. It's a complete mystery as to why. She's not a good teacher as she's too in her head most of the time. It's known that Pearl was once White Diamond's Pearl and then passed on to Pink Diamond after PD did something absolutely heinous to her previous Pearl. Pearl does not usually like to talk about what she went through as a diamond's Pearl. During the war Pearl was a sort of Spy on the inside, as she's very good at surprise attacks and other secretive and hidden fighting styles. Pearl is terrified of fusion and is thought to have never done it before.
Now, there's one last crystal gem that is important to the story.
Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz was not the leader of the rebellions, but a courageous and kindhearted friend to all Crystal Gems, as well as one of them. Rose Quartz was often thought of as a rouge warrior, she never followed out what was planned, often making away to do something that she thought up herself or thinking outside the box in some way that made her revered among the rebels. She was the Diamond's main target as she was some sort of figure head to the CGs. Rose Quartz mysteriously vanished when she fled to face Blue Diamond head on alone, and with her Pink Diamond vanished as well. No one can make sense of what happened that day.
Okay that's the main characters, for now.
Plot:
The cgs land on a planet colonized by the diamonds long ago to hide from them. Colonized planets have been hollowed out and sucked of all resources with no other life forms left. Amethyst has been living there completely alone after forming thousands of years late. Here the CGs discover Am. They're found by the diamonds and flee the planet, landing on Earth and taking Amethyst with them. Amethyst is amazed to find lifeforms like her and she can hardly believe there's an infinite universe out there with trillions of other life forms, some like her and some completely different. She begs the CGs to tell her everything they know about gem life. They are reluctant to tell her all the horrors, but since they've dragged Amethyst into this mess, they know it's necessary.
The gems, mainly Garnet, tell Amethyst about the gem war as well as many of the horrible things the Gempire has done to the galaxy as the Diamonds spread their reign of terror. They also tell her about the event that turned the war for the worst, the death of Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond. They explain to Am that they're in constant hiding, going planet to planet until they find somewhere safe and hidden. They explain to Am that if she leaves them and is found by the Diamonds, they'll assume she's a CG and shatter her. Amethyst sees the gems using their powers, and begs the gems to train her to use her own powers and teach her to defend herself for when the diamonds come. The gems are happy to take her in and Am is happy to be w/ people who are like her.
Amethyst begins her training and grows very close to all the gems, including Pearl. Pearl is not very talkative and expresses herself best through fighting. They grow to understand each other this way.
Okay well Amethyst can't stop hersellf from mingling w/ others and she goes into a nearby town (not Beach City...I HATE beach city fuck Beach City and everyone who lives there lmaooooo). I'll allow her one human friend....okay Connie. Connie is her one human friend but she's like 16-18 years old. While in town, Amethyst knows she should try to be sneaky and not get discovered but she's seen by Connie. Amethyst gets terrified and runs away quickly but Connie follows her in secret.
Connie continues to watch the gems from afar, writing down what they do and taking note of the powers they have. She's discovered by Amethyst and the two are super intrigued by each other. Amethyst decides to trust her since it's been a few months of Connie knowing about the cgs but she hasn't tried to hurt them in anyway.
Am introduces Connie to the other CGs and Garnet is pissed Am got any humans involved bc she's been watching the skies and she knows that a fleet of Gempire soilders should be arriving any day now and Connie could be put in danger. Garnet forbids Am and Connie from being friends and decides they're all leaving the planet early b/c their cover could be blown. Connie, hearing of evil aliens and spaceships double down and tells them that if Earth is in danger she deserves to know about it. Garnet refuses, Am and Connie are seperated as Connie is forced to go home and Garnet gives Amethyst an ear full about being irresponsible.
Pearl however tells Amethsyt that she knows a thing or two about forbidden friendships (wink wink) and that she shouldn't feel bad for wanting a friend. Despite being forbidden to meet, Am and Connie go behind Garnet's back and become ubber bffs. Amethyst begins to teach Connie some of the skills and moves she learns from the other Crystal Gems, they bond over this. Amethyst also allows Connie to write about gem history and she recounts everything Garnet tells her back to Connie.
Like Garnet predicts, a gem ship does arrive but it's not what they thought. One single small gem spaceship crashes on Earth one day. Inside is two gems, one bubbled and the other frightened beyond belief. The terrified gem is a Peridot who has a bubbled Jasper with her. The Peridot explains that she comes in peace and is also trying to escape the Gempire. She came to warn to CGs and possibly join them. The Diamonds know where they are and are sending Lapises to not only capture the CGs and bring them to homeworld, but to completely destroy and terraform the Earth. The gems are horrified at this information.
The bubbled gem that the Peridot has is a Jasper. Peridot explains she's a scientist for the Gempire and that Jasper was one of her friends. They forced the Peridots to experiment on powerful gems and turn them into mindless animals that only followed orders w/out the free will to rebel against the Gempire. They called this "corruption". Peridot unbubbles the Jasper and shows them that Jasper has become an savage animal. Peridot explains that the Gempire plans to do this to all soilder gems, not just rebels.
However, Peridot explains that on Earth there are thought to be resources they can use to reverse corruption. They can't let Earth be colonized, not only for the sake of humanity, but for millions of innocent gems that have been and could be corrupted.
Connie's parents are biologists and will help the gems find and gather the resource that will undo corruption. Over time, Connie becomes a close friend to the CGs and an honorary member.
Eventually, hundreds of Lapises come to earth to destroy it. The Lapis is the head of them. Will she be turned to the good side somehow?? Idk probably not cause I dont like Lapis
Peridot is now a bio scientist Gem and works in healing and changing the gem form. She does not have metal powers, she's just incredibly intelligent. She was the scientist that personally corrupted Jasper (Diamond's orders) and she wants nothing more to undo it and make sure that it never happens to another gem. Peridots do not have powers as they aren't soilder gems so she fights with gadgets that her and Bismuth design and create together.
Jasper will eventually be de-corrupted, but she's gonna be suffering. Before being corrupted Jasper was a 1000% loyal soilder to the Gempire. She's gonna realize that the Diamonds betrayed her for their own good and struggle with being accepted into the Crystal Gems, a group she was trained to hate and destroy. Jasper fought on the side of the Diamonds during the Gem War.
The Big Plot Twist:
Rose Quartz was a fusion between Pearl and Pink Diamond. (If you remember salty-sapphire getting an ask like this before, yes I sent that ask). Pink Diamond was the weakest diamond, not the strongest. She did have destructive powers (no healing powers cause that's stupid) and often lost control of them. This was not intentional. Pink Diamond was very friendly with other gems, often getting her in trouble w/ the other diamonds and punished. She never hurt Pink Pearl, instead PP was taken from her bc the two were too friendly w/ one another and the Diamonds believed she wasn't cruel enough w/ Pink Pearl.
After suffering so long at the hands of White Diamond, Pearl was very grateful to go to Pink Diamond who was kind and warm and didn't mistreat her. They did fall in love (requited!) and they worked on controlling PD's destructive powers together. They fell in love w/ fusion and, while running around together as Rose Quartz, they helped encourage other Rose Quartz(es?) to begin a rebellion. They joined the rebellion as a well known and totally fearless Quartz soilder. PD and Pearl were so in love they wanted to stay Rose Quartz as a permafusion, but then PD died tragically.
The day Rose Quartz and PD disappeared forever, RQ went to talk to Blue Diamond and reveal that she was a fusion of Pink Diamond and Pearl and ask for Blue Diamond to join the rebellion, but Blue Diamond cruely attempted to destroy Pearl for turing PD against the Gempire and PD instead took the blow and was shattered.
Blue Diamond spread the lie through the Gempire that Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond, when PD was actually killed by her. This is the main reasons that the Gempire is so dedicated to all of the crystal gems being hunted down and shattered. The other two Diamonds also don't know the truth. Pearl knows the truth but does not want to tell the other CGs that a diamond was one of them the entire time.
How It Ends:
A big show down on homeworld. It will be revealed that Blue Diamond killed Pink. The Diamonds will turn on each other. White and Yellow Diamond will kill Blue for killing Pink Diamond. Once those two diamonds are weakened, all the crystal gems will fuse into a huge Diamond-sized gem and take down White and Yellow, killing them and releasing all gems from their reign, thus ending the Gempire. There's no "era three" there's now "oh lol let's just not be fascists anymore". Justice will be served lol.
Trivia: Gems can fuse w/ humans. There will be Connie fusions!!!

Thank you! But literally all rewritten version of SU are 100x better than the original except for the ones where Steven is Pink Diamond and he owns Connie cause she likes lives in a human zoo those can fuck off an die ten times
