so much has changed since i was on the dash, a lot of my drafts i can't edit so I'll either be remaking them into new posts or dropping them and starting something new. one of the reasons i took a break was because of the changes tumblr's been doing.

“you should just know by now, it’s my aura. my whole state of being is oozing charm and sex appeal.” he said confidently, a big smile stretching along his face so wide that his nose scrunched up in response. it was reflected on her face too, a big beam of a smile and he rolled his eyes at her response, “you’re ridiculous.” but his eyes shimmered with amusement at her antics, and he got comfortable in the drivers seat, turning the key in the ignition and hearing the engine roar to life, “it shouldn’t take too long at the shop, then i’ll buy you ice cream or something after as a thank you, sound good??”

“ i can play all these songs in my sleep . so yeah , i allow myself a pretty distraction from time to time . . . i take it your friend forgot to tell you it was a rock concert ? ” nameless demotion of said friend is first sign of musician’s shift in interest . “ and what are you guys later ? ”
“wow, that’s so impressive.” but there was an obvious lack of actual excitement in her voice, level as the words came from her lips as she glanced at him, “she just told me she got invited to a show and didn’t want to come alone...so i said i would come along. it was loud, not awful, but loud.” piper said honestly, arms crossed over her chest as she tilted her head to the side, “i would love to go home, but i doubt my counterpart is going to want to do that. she has a crush on you, it’s cliche.”
he really did try to be quick. as much as he wanted to stay this close to link for as long as possible, he didn’t want to be weird. well, any weirder he was already being. but then all attempts at speed were washed away as soon as his friend leaned back against him. god, this was so hard. he loved him so much and he would never, ever be able to tell him. “i'm—i’ll be careful. this is better, yeah.” he tied the tie as carefully and quickly as he could, but once he was done……jason made the inarguably stupid decision to wrap his arms around link’s chest, holding him close, hoping he couldn’t feel jason’s heart pounding. “what do you need the tie for?” he asked softly. “do you have an event to go to or something?”
for someone who was so skittish about touching people, leaning back against jason felt nice, they were about the same height so he smiled a little when he said it did help. soon the tie was done, tied perfectly around his neck, and he was all but ready to stop leaning until strong arms wrapped around him. his heart was racing at the embrace, and he felt jason's heart thudding against his back as well, "i, uh, i got invited to a dinner by my professor to mingle with a few other big inventors. it'll be good to put my best foot forward, so i want to look my best..."
"probably 'cause i pay for pro." which is true, and maybe something he shouldn't admit that a portion of his hard-earned minimum wage money goes to something like letterboxd pro, of all things. “i….don’t have plans. ever,” he said, honestly quite baffled that she assumed he would. then again, how often did he talk about his personal life with kimiko? his cheeks flushed, just a bit, as she touched him—not because it was her specifically touching him but…well, he just didn’t get much attention from girls. “will you call me, next time you want to go out?” matthew asked. he wasn’t upset about not getting an invite; he was worried about something happening to her while he wasn’t there to help.
"never?" that idea alone made her pity him a little bit, kimiko's calendar was always filled to the brim, she was never good at being stagnant. "c'mon, you don't have some sort of life outside of your job?" she questioned with a knit of her brow, eyeing him with a bit of curiosity, and she let her hand fall back to her side with a little huff of defeat, "fine, but don't get mad if it totally wakes you up from a killer sleep. even the most handsome of men need their beauty sleep."
