"Superman? Can I try on your cape?" The young Robin asked hopefully. "I'll be really careful, I promise!"

If Robin didn’t mind running around with a big ‘S’ on the back, then sure. It would be a good thing, the cape could protect him from fire and electricity, and keep him warm. He should be using it for the whole evening, preferably. “Of course. Be careful though, it’s a bit big. We wouldn’t want you to trip over it. You can use it on patrol if you like.”

He reached up and removed it from his own shoulders, then handed it to Jason. “Don’t worry about getting it dirty. It’s a very resistant fabric.”

"Thanks" That is her only warning before wrapping her arms around his waist, her cheek against his chest. Bruce wasnt able to take her to the Swan Lake so it was nice of Clark to make the time.

Bruce was a busy man, and Clark was glad he had been free instead. No world- saving required at the moment, and Clark Kent had went home from the Daily Planet already too. Gave him all the time he needed to go watch Swan Lake with Cassandra. He curled his arms around her to return the embrace. “You’re welcome. It was fun, we should repeat that sometime. Maybe next time, Bruce can come along.”

"…I…“ Apollo paused in his reply, momentarily lost to the unique experience of another person being so attuned to him. His careless tone slipped, instead replaced with a greater deference to the conduit of power they had created between them. ”… I didn’t realize you would feel it so keenly, I… In retrospect, I suppose it was a bit forward of me to just radiate like that….“        But Clark was smiling, at least. Seemingly less troubled by the Sun King’s invasive power than he was with whether it was unsettling the pale-haired man. Apollo didn’t think he’d ever get used to the sheer graciousness that made up every part of Superman.

”…I do. Feel something, I mean.“ He admitted finally. The Sun King’s eyes swept over Clark, then dipped away, the aura around him reddening with late-day light, a reflection of embarrassment. ”…Ah, it must be the draw of your biology absorbing my sunlight. It’s like you have your own gravity, tugging on me, drawing my heat towards you….“         Even saying the phrase felt silly and prepubescent, and Apollo cleared his throat in response, raking fingers through his tangle of white hair. ”– I’m sure lots of people say that to you, though.“ The Dun King grins, small and crooked. ”…So perhaps it’s just your charisma and I’m imagining things, hey?“

“Not quite...Never heard that one before, to be honest.” But Apollo was the first flying sun battery he had encountered, and there was always a first time. Perhaps that was why he felt so affected by the bright-haired, it was the first time he felt this energy of his. Perhaps the feeling would dull, if Clark felt it more often?

      He hoped it wouldn’t.

He had to recognize and acknowledge the implications of this intimate exchange. It was just energy, but they were both, feeling, breathing human(oid) beings, and everything had a social context. Apollo’s hair looked so incredibely soft, Clark wanted to touch it. He stared at it for a moment, before he tried to phrase his next sentence.

“I want to..apologize. For “coming on to you” a bit strongly.” He gave an embarrassed chuckle. This had to be one of the most embarrassing exchanges he’d ever had, and he tried to handle it with some humour. Why was he always acting like a fool in front of beautiful people? “I dont want to interfere in your..if you have a partner, I mean.” That would be rude, and Clark was very respecting of the relationship of other’s. His hand wandered up into his own hair, touching it in a gesture of shame.

“I’m sure we can learn to control this. I did learn how to filter what kind of UV rays I want to accept into my body, and what kind are harming me.” And of course, if Apollo wasn’t radiating stronger than neccessary and right at him, his chances of not getting all gushy around the man were higher too.

“I’m happy it’s always working. Family is the best weakness to have, in my opinion. Shows that you’re a good person, Cass.” Family was important to her, and what she always wanted right? There was no shame in not wanting a family, but Clark liked to think it was human nature to feel the need to stay together in a family environment. Even a gang could be a family. Or the workplace.
