Teased you all nicely, haven't I? [; There's a loooooot of fluff to be had in Comfort. My next AU, Asleep At The Wheel, is going to be very, very angsty to make up for all this fluff.

Anyway - the first and third teasers are from chapter five, the second teaser from chapter two. I'm now six chapters in out of hopefully ten to twelve - you all deserve to know any sort of progress I'm making, to say the least - but it'll have to be halted for now because of some hefty law exams coming up. But rest assured I am working on Comfort! And it's pretty full of cups of tea and warm fuzzy feelings... and Johanna the perv...

Hello everyone! I know, it's been awhile... see, thing is that I wanted to wait for my Grade 8 piano exam to be over to really devote my time to writing. (Do any of you play the piano or another instrument? I'd love to get to know more of my followers.) Now that that ordeal's been over for nearly three weeks - haha - I'm finally ready to start. So here's what's been going on:

I really, really want to be sure of where I'm going with both AUs (yes! I have not one, but two! Hooray! /confetti), so I'll make sure I've written the gist of them before I begin to post. Not sure how long that will take, but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm working on fanfic! I'm not dead (and I'm not procrastinating)!

You need to have good character development for AUs, I gotta say, and since I'm venturing into this for the first time, I'll need awhile to learn. Also, my AUs are polar opposites so that'll mean two different kinds of character development!

Augh!

Yeah okay, I've obviously rambled enough. Just thought that, you know, you'd like to know a bit of the work progress, yeah, y'know... /shifty eyes (Whatever.)

It's time to head back to writing, as I'm sure all of you are urging me to do while rolling your eyes and reading this. I'm going! I'm going! Hope to see you all again soon with new stories! xx

Oh dear. I am not at all sure how a story listed as M in a site like FF.net can be so easily excessed by an eight year old, but for my part, I have stated multiple times in my ANs that there will be lemons. I ain't liable. To be honest, there is much worse smut than what I write, and once stuff like this is on the internet, it's up to you to read responsibly. My apologies for scarring your sister for life... I just don't know what else to say. The net's a free place, people. And to quote Deviantart, "Out there be monsters."

{Chapter Four} Gravity - Vienna Teng

I can't deny that finding a song for chapter four ('Always") was the trickiest. I didn't want something contrived or overly romantic or (heaven forbid!) cliched; and then I stumbled upon Vienna Teng and was held forever in her captivity especially because of "Gravity." From the quiet, mournful "Hey love, is that the name you're meant to have/for me to call" to the poignant, passionate confession, "Hey love, I am a constant satellite/of your blazing sun", I just felt that this song was through-and-through perfect for F&MW's slipperiest chapter yet. In spite of the doubts Katniss had and the grief Peeta was just learning to  associate with his family, they would always gravitate to one another, were always constant satellites of the other's sun.

{Chapter Three} Desire - Deas Vail

This is an amazing song that captures perfectly Katniss's hesitation and Peeta's unwillingness be afraid any longer, with the apt chorus of "Fire, burning on desire" as a reminder that under whatever complications arise as they move forward, the crux of the matter is simply desire. Whichever way you slice it.

{Chapter Two} Careful Hands - Sleeping At Last

Associating Sleeping At Last's sound with The Hunger Games is a little tricky, but I was just swept away by the poetic accuracy of the song (for example, "We are X-rays of something broken/Cursive bloodlines write every forecast/An orchestration of dissonance and innocent surrender" and "Only with careful hands/We’ll turn their fangs into feathers and cures.") Plus, there's a beautiful string outro that makes my heart ache every single time.

I was listening so much to both this and "Good Morning Fire Eater" that Fragility and Mockingjay was born (writing HG fic was never exactly in the agenda, but what can you say after inspiration fairly hits you on the head every time this song plays?).

Part of the reason why I wanted to move out of FF.net was because we didn't have much say in the aesthetics of our stories's presentations, but here on Tumblr I plan to post my own illustrations and drawings to accompany new chapters and everything!
