IF SOMEONE TELLS YOU THEY HAVE DID

- No, it is NOT schizophrenia. - No, you do NOT have multiple personalities because you act differently at work, around your family, around your friends, etc. - No, we are NOT like the guy in “Split”; we’re not going to switch personalities and attack you, that’s bullshit. - YES, alters/identities/personalities are REAL. Treat them like individual people, even though they share the same body.

DID is caused by extensive childhood trauma and is demonized by the media. If someone trusts you enough to share that they are a multiple, DO NOT abuse that.

We at No More Stalling want to be able to reach all of the students in Miami-Dade County, but we can’t do it without your help!

Please help us reach our goal at :: Donors Choose: No More Stalling

Together we can give children and adolescents access to the resources they'll need on their path to recovery.

No one should have to struggle alone.

Don’t forget to share this link with friends, family, and your school to donate and contribute to our cause. Every dollar counts! We are trying to get these plaques installed in as many school bathrooms in the U.S. as possible  ♡

we need education about mental illnesses as much as we need an education on stuff we study on school. it’s hard to see your life and everyone’s lives getting harder because of the stigma of treating mental symptoms. it’s sad to see how our society sees mental health professionals. it’s sad to see people that need help and support refusing it because they don’t trust therapists, most part of the time because of the stigma. mental illnesses’ stigma is way more than we can see, it’s way more than no representation and information about personality disorder, psychosis, ocd and all the illnesses that are always excluded, the stigma affects everyone. we aren’t taught to care for our mental health.

Our student-led project is to actually increase mental health awareness, and help those with mental illness find care for them through hotlines and overall support!

Kurt Cobain’s Death Anniversary

TW: Suicide mention

Today we honor the life and death of legendary music artist Kurt Cobain.

Popularly known as the frontman of the band Nirvana, he suffered from mental illnesses such as depression, and spent much of his last few years addicted to heroin.

At age 27, he committed suicide.

Take this day spread awareness for mental illnesses, and don’t be afraid to reach out to anyone if you are experiencing suicidal tendencies.

Often times we don’t feel as if we are worthy of good things because we think we’re not smart enough or pretty enough. The truth is, you are ENOUGH. You are an amazing person living on this earth who was given the opportunity to be here. There will be people who doubt you and criticize you for being you, but just know your enough. Know your value, then add tax :)

Today is the Day of Hope across the U.S.A!

This day was created by the organization Childhelp, a group that provides help to children that are victims of abuse and neglect. You can honor today by volunteering at local organizations to raise awareness about the issue of child abuse.

If you yourself are a child who has experienced abuse, or just someone who was witnessed child abuse, The National Child Abuse Hotline offers 24/7 service, and is completely confidential.
