Modern Nyu would smoke too many cigarettes, laugh with her head thrown back & teeth bared, get drunk in cemeteries, throw fists like a man, drink cherry cola, pick at her nail polish, have a cat named Houdini, wear ripped stockings & canvas shoes, smell like lavender & spice, collect animal skulls, dance in the rain, howl like a starving wolf.

I'd like to think that Nyukusu can manipulate shadows , contorting them with but the slightest twitch of her finger. She can bring them to life, coax them to linger & grow in abnormal ways; leaving one feel haunted.

Nyukusu hides herself in the depths of a wood bordering Hoshido & Nohr. this wood has been dying for hundreds of years & has only recently been decaying causing her little hut to become easier to find. 

while it does not look inhabitable ( or very large tbh ) on the outside ... once you step foot inside it will take you a few moments to adjust for it is surprisingly large. thick, ornate rugs decorate the worn floorboards & vibrant tapestries adorn the walls & ceiling ----only exposing the three windows.

large cauldron sits in a hearth centered in the main area & it is accompanied by three smaller cauldrons. the smaller are used to boil herbs of every kind to give the home a delicious, earthy scent whilst the large cauldron is used to brew various potions & medicines. 

she has a desk in the furthermost corner littered with tomes & scrolls & vials. the walls are lined with shelves upon shelves upon shelves all of which contain books & herbs & various ingredients she collects.

a short set of stairs leads to her resting area --------where none are welcomed & thus it shall not be mentioned further. i’m going to be lurking the web for images that bring her home to life as i am 100/10 awful at describing things atm & i can’t really be arsed to go too in depth with her home ( as much as i want to ... i just really don’t want to atm )

01. nyx has her soul bound to a demon. this is partially what coaxes her to utter the forbidden spell which in turn causes her physical self to cease aging. 

02. it is ( partially ) due to this ‘ relationship ‘ with the unholy beast that she is considered a prodigy in the dark arts. she draws on its unearthly energies to cast more powerful spells ----by this i mean spells meant for destroying armies or large sums of individuals at once---- but only out of desperation.

03. while she will not outright speak of this pact, it may be obvious to some: the patterns etched into flesh, most noticeably etched upon her youthful visage.

04. it is when experiencing genuine fits of  RAGE that the demon may possess her physical self ; rounded pupils narrowing to inhuman slivers , pearly whites sharpening to pointed fangs , voice dropping to deep & unsettling tones. 

05. this possession , of sorts , is not completely ‘gainst her will ... for it was a deal the pair had made many , many years ago. 

06. this demon remains unnamed & it will appear to her in the physical world with many different faces. 

07. due to forming such a bond at so young an age ( she was approximately twelve years when summoning it ) her awareness of the ‘ other side ‘ is very sharp & too often will various entities come to her out of curiousity ------drawn to the demon who’s tied to both the spiritual & the physical world.
