It’s time for Liam appreciation week!!

Hello everyone! I’ve stepped in to host Liam’s appreciation week as the original host is no longer around on tumblr. This is my first time hosting an appreciation week and I am super excited to get into it! :) 

Appreciation is the name and that is the aim! This week is dedicated to appreciating our crisis response specialist Liam who has a heart of gold

You can contributing by posting gifs, edits, graphics, art, writing, headcanons, meta, starting discussions etc, about Liam. Remember to put #liamkostaweek in the first 5 tags so they show up in the tag to be reblogged

Liam appreciation week runs from the 17th of july through to the 23rd, I’ll be checking the tag regularly in order to reblog all your posts. If your post doesn’t show up in the tag and/or I haven’t reblogged it please feel free to send me a message so I can fix that

A few rules to put in place to ensure that this week remains on point and fun:

  • Character bashing/hate is not okay. It’s an appreciation week for a reason
  • put #liamkostaweek in the first 5 tags
  • be friendly and open in discussions with others participating in Liam appreciation week
  • no negativity in the tag, if you don’t like Liam please keep your negativity/discourse out of the tag to let the rest of us who like Liam have fun and enjoy the week
  • no racism or white washing, Liam is a poc and that must be respected

I’d like to thank @omegastation for organising the appreciation weeks in the first place, without her we might not be celebrating our appreciation for all these wonderful characters 

just a small note: if anyone wants to come up with prompt lists for artists, writers etc or just general ones for Liam appreciation week i’m 100% cool with that just let me know what you’ve come up with so I can update this post :)

What’s the story? Well, Gil Brodie Appreciation Week is coming soon to a galaxy near you so get ready to celebrate our favourite tech officer and engineer!

When: July 3-July 9

How: Create and share all of your Gil Brodie content- art, fic, playlists, aesthetics, edits, gifs, manips, renders, metas- if it’s got Gil, we want to see it!

Where: Post your content using the #gilbrodieweek tag and everything will be rounded up to this blog hopefully! Make sure to use the event tag within your first 5 tags in order for tumblr to track it! You can also submit directly to this blog if you so wish!

At the end of the week a masterpost will be made of all the content made for the week. If it’s been a day or two and your post still hasn’t made it’s way onto this blog, send a message and I’ll see if I can track it down.

Ground Rules:

  • For the sake of all of our sanity, let’s keep the Discourse™ at the door, and we can leave Jill with it just to not open old wounds, please
  • No discussion of Gil engaging in romantic or sexual activities with women or femmes
  • No whitewashing
  • Be respectful and considerate

Some ideas for inspiration:

  • What was Gil doing during the Nexus Uprising? How did he react? What was he feeling?
  • What did Gil do in the Milky Way? All we really know is that he ended up with a job despite living on the street as a kid and did cool enough stuff to attract Vetra’s attention- but what?
  • Andromeda’s a big place- what are his plans and aspirations going forward?
  • There’s a lot of time stuck on the Tempest where we don’t get to see what Gil’s doing, so what are his relationships like with the crew? What antics does he get up to? 
  • Ryder’s got a lot of unknowns attached to them- what are Gil’s first impressions?
  • How is he dealing with his insomnia? Does Lexi know about it?

Have fun with Reyes this week and hope to see some great content in the next!

end-of-week housekeeping

Since today is the last day of Drack week and I will be making a wrap-up post tonight or tomorrow, I wanted to say: if you’ve posted something for this week but I haven’t reblogged it yet, feel free to let me know either as a reply to this post or as a submission. I’ve been reblogging things from the #nakmordrackweek tag, but tumblr is notoriously unreliable about displaying all tagged posts...

Nakmor Drack headcanons?

Does anyone have headcanons about Drack? To get some ideas going… What does he do during his downtime on the Tempest? What was his life like back in the Milky Way? Reply/reblog with your answers! 

I have these headcanons on the idea that Wrex knew Drack while they were in the Milky Way (and a Drack raising Kesh story here) but I can come up with more like:

  • He didn’t learn to cook until he got Kesh and that’s what made him so conscientious on what baby Krogan need to survive and he can still remember how hard it was keeping her alive on their native world and that’s just another reason he’s hates that the seeds were stolen
  • He’s seen a lot of bloodshed and lost practically everyone he knew but still feels the need to protect those close to him
  • Knows like every gun there is or ever was and still laughs at the weapons humans had in the First Contact war. How did we even survive to evolve?
  • He still hopes the Krogan bettered themselves back in the Milky Way despite leaving it behind, it’s been a long time but he remembers when they were more than mercenaries and just wanted that new start in Andromeda. He’s still not that surprised they got screwed though, just isn’t going to stand for it.
  • Can’t stop worrying about Kesh and that he made her grow up too fast in her worrying over and trying to take care of him too. He’s glad she has Vorn now and someone in her life for when he’s gone.
  • Will smugly tell every Angaran who visits the Nexus that his granddaughter built it.
  • Headbutts anyone who talks bad about the Tempest crew, as far as he’s concerned they’re family. He especially doesn’t take well to someone insulting Vetra on how she raised Sid, he knows how hard being in that situation is.
  • Hated going to Illium when they were in the Milky Way, it was too political and not enough fighting going there.
  • He kinda misses Thresher Maws. Took one out during his Rite of Passage and lost a redundant organ that day, his first real battle scar. He still has that Thresher Maws teeth
  • Knows that his gruff laugh freaks people out and does it on purpose
  • Once got kicked off the Citadel for getting in to a bar fight in Flux, never heard the end of it from Kesh
