It’s getting pretty hard to be back on track. However my first day of Second year of Master’s degree is on Tuesday and I am determined to get the best of my last year in China. Starting with hsk 4 this morning.

How I prepare for oral presentations for Chinese class—I change all the text to white except for important key words or grammatical structures that will trigger my memory if I forget what to say. I find looking at a wall of characters while doing a presentation to be a bit overwhelming, so this method really helps!

Chinese: Personality

Heyy people, here’s a list of some random adjectives for describing personality that I threw together, that I hope might be kinda helpful maybe?

性格 (xìnggé) personality, character

外向 (wàixiàng) extroverted

内向 (nèixiàng) introverted

勇敢 (yǒnggǎn) brave

胆小 (dǎnxiǎo) timid

善良 (shànliáng) good, kindhearted

活泼 (huópo) vivacious, lively

周到 (zhōudào) thoughtful, considerate

幽默 (yōumò) funny

乐天 (lètiān) carefree, happy-go-lucky

严肃 (yánsù) serious, solemn

要强 (yàoqiáng) ambitious, eager to excel

y’all ever just watch polyglot videos for motivation, but then spend all your time doing that so you don’t actually study any actual languages??? because same.

I was sooooo lucky to find this room last year, and I can’t believe that in two months from now I’ll have to leave it due to my graduation. I’m already feeling nostalgic.

If you go to radio.garden/listen, you can essentially tune into any city's radio stations around the world and listen to your target language for free.
