More Than Just A Pretty Blonde Distraction

I’ve had both cats and dogs throughout my upbringing, but I always leaned more towards dogs to be honest. He’s a French Bulldog! I named him after Agent Coulson from the Marvel Universe
You had the upbringing I could only dream of! Ava was the first fur baby I’ve ever had, now I have a kitten and a step-fur-son. Colin’s worried I’m going to become the crazy rescue animal lady. Oh my god, of course! Wow, okay, I don’t deserve to call myself a Marvel fan. There goes my opportunity to be in a movie, huh?

You and me both! I might have mentioned Lost to Brie just a bit after our plane landed and I think she was silently cursing me in her head. Usually I maintain my cool during flights but there’s always that small voice that says “This is it. This is how you die”. It’s a bit morbid but I’m still working through it. You can survive the months without wine. Personally I’d be a mess but you can do it! You made it to Atlanta just fine?

Oh Lizzie, I don’t blame her, haha. The thought of a plane crash is scary enough but watching one unfold like it did on the show, - wine is needed for sure. I think thoughts like that are normal. At some point, everyone thinks that whatever they’re doing could be it for them. I’m more worried about Colin, he has said that he’s not going to drink either, - the man loves his beer. I bought him season tickets for the WhiteCaps for his birthday; sporting events and beer go hand in hand. We did, for the most part. We were in the airport for maybe ten minutes yesterday, and the little one decided it would be the perfect time to really kick the morning sickness into gear. Let’s just say, today with the panel and everything was very interesting.

I haven’t spent a lot of time there but I imagine those would be nice. I mean, there are a lot of natural sites out there too like Stone Mountain.  That is sometimes how it goes. I wasn’t really sick at first. I mean, I started getting sick then I found out but - before that it was weird ache and pains, new smell aversions. It’s always smart to know what you want though. I did a lot of ginger ale and crackers. Ginger tea and ginger candies work well too.

I got a glimpse at the Beltline yesterday, the more natural sights are definitely more up my ally. I haven’t had any smell aversions yet, a stronger sense of smell is all. I’ll have to try the candy because for whatever reason the carbonation and the crackers just aren’t doing it. I can’t live off of soda, crackers, and toast for the next few months. Besides the obvious chicken noodle, do you have a go-to soup that I could try?

You should! You’ll have to make a trip down to the Village every now and then just to get some food truck cuisine, once you’re able to tolerate it, that is! Which I’m sure you’ll be able to handle food soon enough, once those cravings kick in. Maybe you’ll get lucky and crave chili! Good excuse. That’ll be nice! And then she can get her revenge, which I’m sure you’ll actually enjoy. For sure, yeah, that’s what all of my lady friends have always told me, I feel for you girls! I did, yeah, oh man. I spent a lot of time just lounging on the couch!
Image
For sure. Once it starts warming up, I’ll probably walk down there for the chili, since hot yoga is out for the time being. It’s all about balance, right? I can get a whole quart of chili if I happen to crave it, as long as I stop at the Spotted Bunny and pick up the things I should be eating to take home. - Sounds balanced to me! I’m sure I will, any time spent with family is great. What about this weekend? Is it another crazy one?

Easily done in such enormous crowds; it would have been nice to meet you. I can’t imagine that was fun. I got put down enough with being called “Aled’s brother”. Did you get away with anything being a staff’s daughter? No, haha. I didn’t. The wholly exuberant industry of the Welsh council never struck at my heart surprisingly! But my Dad seemed to enjoy it which is enough for me. Of course, they’re amazing. There’s no point in creating a universe so close to the one we live in; fiction was created to steer us away from everyday life. Closest I’ve been is probably Australia too. When I get the time to, I’ll have to go over to New Zealand.

There were times that were kind of fun, like getting the option to ride with him when we went on field trips instead of the bus. Noo, I was one of those kids who followed all of the rules. Never even tried to get away with anything. Exactly. When that time comes, I expect a full report when you get back on how amazing it was.

jennmarie: ATVFest prep. Thank you for the little welcome bag and the amazing room. The mini fridge will be put to very good use, housing my twelve pack of ginger ale for the week. Morning sickness is now in full swing 🤢 😷

I am gonna wait for you so just shoot me a text or something so I can wait for you in some better looking pajamas. You thought I would say clothes but nah. A year? That is a lot, so I hope it mean this place is cool enough. What did it did to your life? Tell me those news. Yep, all here minus the wife and son but… Not my wife now and the son is with her, so… Its all here.
Image
I hope that doesn’t mean I have to wear nice looking pajamas. You’ve seen me at eight in the morning with no make-up, - I feel like we have that type of friendship where I can show up in sweats and a ratty t-shirt with no judgment. I’ve made some pretty awesome friends, gained a better understanding of myself and what I wanted in life. Which led to what my sister calls one of the best moments in my life, I got married in December. I can’t argue with her, Colin is one of the best people to have come into my life. We’re expecting a baby in late April. --- Damn Tommy, I’m sorry. You’re always welcome at my place; take all the Ava cuddles you need.

Awe congrats on the pregnancy! That’s so amazing and I am so happy for the two of you. I’m not too sure what are some must see things in Atlanta though.
Image
Thank you! We’re over the moon, hoping April won’t take too long to get here. I’m surprised at the wide variety of things there are and at least half are only a few minute drive from the hotel we’re staying at. At the top of my list is the Margaret Mitchell House and the Atlanta Beltline.

Maybe Crystal and I can come and give you feedback on the different scents. I’d feel so official. Candles do make great gifts! I did, yeah! For the cooking class I’ll be doing here in town! It went super well, thanks! That’s so exciting, I’m really happy for all of you. Oh man, nausea is never fun and I cant even imagine it for nine months, but I suppose it is all worth it in the end, isn’t it? Certainly doesn’t make it any more fun though! Has anything been able to help with it?
Image
That would great, get a third party's opinion. After a while, every candle I make could smell horrible. I’m waiting for the smell aversion to start, not looking forward to that during that process. Really? I might have sign-up for a few classes, seeing as my cooking background consists of throwing things in a crockpot. You’re welcome. One hundred percent. My sister tells me that first moment, once they lay the baby on your chest, is the reason she powered through everything a second time. Ginger ale; I’ve pretty much been living off the stuff. Thank god I have such an awesome husband and equally as awesome bosses. We landed in Atlanta and - let’s just say morning sickness is in full swing now, they all started looking for a grocery store so I could stock the mini fridge in the room.

You guys need to stop running to Atlanta! But I am not sure what there is to do around there. I dont think I congratulated you yet so congraaats, you are gonna be an awesome mama.

If I could have sent Adam and Eddy to get my award, I would have. I already miss my bed and it’s only been a day. Thank you Emma, I certainly hope so! Practice overnights with my six-year-old niece and one-year-old nephew have only prepared me so much. I hear you moved? Is it too late to send a housewarming gift?

I’d say the World Of Coca-Cola museum and the Georgia Aquarium. Six weeks pregnant? Congratulations! You’ll have to bring your little one over to see Iris and I! And Pirate, of course. Bring Pirate. How is he doing?
Image
The World of Coke made it in the top ten, and I googled reviews on the Aquarium. We might have to make another trip out here with my family and spend the day there; my brother-in-law loves anything to do with sea life. Thanks Eddie, oh of course! I think Pirate would be here with us if he could, leaving him reminded me of the first time I left Ava. I can only imagine what it’s going to be like once the baby is here. He’s doing great! He gets along great with both Ava and Buckley and he might be obsessed with Colin, I honestly couldn’t ask for a better cat. How are things on your end?

Well, there goes my suggestion for you to take an acrobatics lesson. Maybe baby crib shopping will suit you better? I have no idea what to do in Atlanta, and I’m probably not helping.
Image
It might be a little early for crib shopping. - When do people start shopping for baby stuff? You’re totally fine, I made up a list of things. Google saved me; now it’s just a matter of picking what to do each day I’m here. I can share it with you once I’m back in town if you’d like, just in case you’re ever in the area with nothing to do.

I heard they had a huge thing for The Walking Dead in Atlanta you could go check that out. Maybe just lay down and do photosynthesis till you pop the cake out of the over?
Image
I’ve heard that one of the actors parents give tours around the places in town where they’ve filmed, is that the same thing you heard about? I wish! So far all I’m feeling is tired. Well besides the morning sickness, but I think that’s normal. I’ve never been one to slow down, which could be an issue. Especially since I have to cut way back on the amount of coffee I drink.

I have no idea, I’m not good at suggesting things but make sure you wear comfortable shoes because that’s always important. But congrats on your pregnancy!
Image
I brought a few pairs, though I’m not sure I’ll be wearing them until tomorrow. I have a panel today at ATVFest as well as an apperance on the mainstage later in the evening. Thank you! I couldn’t be more excited! -- Actually, I could. I would be even more excited if I knew there wasn’t a chance that this morning sickness could hit when I’m around fans. Family and friends know, but it’s not genal public knowledge yet.
