Taehyung groaned at the tv as he lounged on his coral couch, “No you idiot, you can’t trade your voice for a pair of legs just for some boy.”

He could not understand why any merperson would willingly give up their beautiful tail for two meat sticks, his own scaled tail draped along the couch glimmering a royal blue.

He shook his as he continued to watch Ariel, while being quite entertaining, it was wildly inaccurate. As if they were primitive enough not to know what a fork was.

Then again, Taehyung could often relate with Ariel as he also had a fascination with the world above the sea. He himself would swim to the surface, observing various ships and shorelines. He could conclude that being a merperson was way better, but he still felt a strange pull to these naked legged persons.

Taehyung suddenly remembered the strange kelp he had found earlier and floated over to his fridge. He had found it close to the shoreline, it had initially attracted him with its enticing smell followed by the strange glow it seemed to possess. Normally he wouldn’t eat strange things he found, but he had always been a curious soul, so one nibble couldn’t hurt right?

He took a small bite before stuffing it into his entire mouth at once, what, he could fit a lot in his mouth okay.

It was most definitely the tastiest kelp he had tasted in awhile and nothing strange seemed to be happening so he nodded to himself in satisfaction and made his way back over to couch.

As he laid back down, he felt a strange tingle in the tip of this tail, he looked over to see feet forming in place of his tail.

He shook his head in disbelief, ‘Oh holy mother of pearl,’ he thought to himself, ‘This cannot be happening.’

But in fact it was, and he had to rush to the surface fast. He did the best he could, barely breaking the surface as his new lungs ran out of air.

Luckily, he was close enough to the shoreline to somehow doggy paddle there.

“How the fuck are you supposed to swim with these, they’re incredibly useless.” He grumbled aloud, crawling up onto the sand and laying on his back in defeat.

He closed his eyes in agony, waiting for his stupid legs to turn back into a tail, when he felt a shadow block the sun.

He opened his eyes to see one of the most beautiful men in his life, including Taehyung himself because he was quite a looker, standing up above.

“Please don’t tell me you’re supposed to be my Prince Eric.” Taehyung muttered aloud, curse Ariel and her stupid antics that influenced him to be in the same position.

The handsome man shook his head and laughed, “No, my name is Seokjin and I am most definitely not a prince, I am a marine biologist, which is the next best thing.”

“Well Mr. Marine Biologist Seokjin, I’m Taehyung, and if you can figure out how to these flesh toothpicks back into a tail, that would be great.” Taehyung stated while slapping against his thigh.

Seokjin stared at him half puzzled and half in amusement, what a strange catch Taehyung was, but at least he was a very cute one.

Taehyung regretted doing a lot of stupid things, but maybe this one was less stupid, he did after all, meet the most beautiful person on this planet and that made up for anything.

Jimin took a deep breath in as he stared at his reflection in the mirror.

After months of mustering up the courage to ask out the cute boy in his dance class, he had finally done it.

Granted, it was only just for coffee, but that has to count for something, right?

Jungkook tapped his fingers nervously against the table, he glanced around anxiously as he waited for his crush to show up. It was like a dream come true, the hottest guy in his dance class asked him, Jeon Jungkook of all people, out for coffee.

Hell, Jimin could have more than coffee, Jimin could have anything he wanted from Jungkook.

Jungkook looked up as he heard the chimes of the door opening and smiled widely to see Jimin walk through and make his way over to him.

Jimin sat down hastily, a shy smile on his face as he greeted the other.

They were both painfully awkward as they stole glances at each other.

“I’m sorry if I’m so awkward about this hyung, this is kind of my first time,” said Jungkook hesitantly.

Jimin blinked before laughing abruptly and reached across the table to clasp the other’s hand,

“It’s okay, Jungkook, this is my first time too. But at least we have each other to figure it out together.”

“Together?” Questioned Jungkook.

“Together.” Said Jimin in confirmation.

Because even if this was their first time, it most definitely wouldn’t be their last.
