My cat, who is otherwise young and healthy, needs a tooth extraction that's been quoted at $2,978. The vet said if I don't get this procedure done, it could lead to serious health complications for her. I need a $500 deposit up front, and the rest over time.

I am disabled with only SSI as income, and stuck living in an abusively toxic household that drains me everyday. The only thing keeping me sane is this cat.

I have explored all options for how to pay for this, but am coming up empty and am very worried and at a loss of where else to turn.

On top of this, I have gotten some DMs so. I am and have been still trying to find another vet office that will maybe/hopefully give me a lower quote. I have an appointment set with one in May so I'm going to hope for the best. Part of the issue has been transportation as I can't drive.

Whenever I see a post talking about how it's okay to steal from huge corporations, when they have shit like self checkout, I always want to jump up and say they have cameras and are collecting your information and you need to be so careful because yeah like they're inflating the prices and running monopolies and price fixing with competitors but everybody is caring about shoplifters more and that's really fucked up, but you also need to consider that Target might be keeping track of every time you don't scan something or intentionally scan it wrong, and just waiting for it to add up to a felony.

Which feels entirely beside the point and almost inappropriate to bring up when the point is that the customer is already a victim of theft, but I feel like there are people encouraging others to do stuff that can absolutely end up with them in jail without mentioning at all that it's a risk.

Tales of the Abyss has a lot of smaller details throughout the game. All over the world has fonic writing, and it does have meaning. Spoilers ahead!

Even the map and logo has fonic:

Funny thing about the logo is that East and West are switched despite dialog and the in-game compass matching our own world's. It also displays numbers one through ten, going counterclockwise. There is not an x in the language so six is "si." Pretty neat!

The fonstone has fonic as well (spoilers):

In Mt Zaleho, the fonstone that Ion reads has fonic writing on it. When translated, it is a repeating phrase of "but out of sight." The top most point was more difficult until I realized it was just upside down. This is funny in a meta way because the player doesn't have the ability to read the score, so the true meaning of the words is "out of sight." Kudos devs. Though it is understandable, I also wouldn't want to write that whole score on that stone. It was a lot of text!

Nam Cobanda has a lot of fonic examples along with the plentiful other references:

It is not the first time Abyss referenced Tales of Eternia (Destiny 2). Many of Anise' Dolls are references to the game, plus cameos can be seen in the Coliseum.

Dragon Buster has fonic copyright notices. The cowboy booth is labeled the cyclone/hurricane (most likely tornado because of common tornado picking up cows imagery). Finally, for now, there's boxes on the shelves with letters. Not sure what they would mean, but they're there!

Props to the game developers for putting so much work into this game. It is very fun to try to find and translate the little details! These were only a few examples I have found, but hopefully, it is interesting to others as well!
