Ah I like that idea!

I think that a kind of modus like that would work a bit like Caliborn and Calliope’s shared JuJu modus!

Here’s how I think it’d work:

Two people (obviously) must be ‘playing’ in order to retrieve and captchalogue items.

Both 'players’, owners of the modus, can freely captchalogue anything, but they must play and capture pieces on a modus-provided chessboard to retrieve items. And the players must play traditionally and by the rules.

Also, either player can only retrieve items that the opposing player captchalogues.

So, if you were to share this modus with someone, it may be a while before you see something you’ve captchalogued again.

A little short, but I hope this contributes to your modus idea, dear!

NOTE: Some of these functions can possibly apply to other board game modi!

The Prince of Void will require a modus that dips in his interests, as well as reflects his aspect.

So a fetch modus that’ll keep him reading, learning, maybe hint at games here and there, and yet recognize his role as a Void player?

Ooooh, I’d suggest maybe something similar to the book modus and its variants!

Or maybe my previously described Invisible Ink Modus?

My user is supposed to allude to the blogkind it is and it was supposed to sound clever.

But I’ve never given moduskind a second thought outside of it being a nice, unique user name!

Now that you bring it up, though...

I think moduskind would allow you to COMPLETELY weaponize a modus you have. Say you’re a volatile person who carries nothing but items that could be used as weapons and/or actual weapons. Moduskind would be a good specibus.

Have Frequence Sequence as your modus? Use moduskind and weaponize it by resetting sequences often and timing your attacks!

Have Mirror-Mic as your modus? Use moduskind and weaponize it by aggressively singing and project your voice/point your mirror at a foe!

Have Paint-On Chart as your modus? Use moduskind and weaponize by splashing paint in your enemy’s eyes and wait for either a weapon to eject itself or for the paint to kick in!

Or, uh, yeah. Throw empty captcha cards at enemies if you have an extremely simple modus (queue, stack, array, wallet) and captchalogue them. Then probably reset and destroy the modus’ data, taking the enemies along with it.

I’m sure you get the point!

By ‘Dropbox’, what do you mean? Is it random things dropped into a box and into your sylladex? Or is it based off of the website/program Dropbox?

But no, that wouldn’t be a bad modus at all! A modus like that will only challenge our perceptiveness, our resourcefulness, and our adaptability. Which would be pretty good!

As a Seer of Space, you would know that we see all things Space, that we would lead and guide others with Space, know things through Space/by using Space/know things about Space itself, and most importantly; we have to be able to use Space’s resources to learn, adjust ourselves to Space and its randomness, and adapt to everything we face.

Never knowing --- fully knowing, I mean --- what we’ll get from a modus --- that’ll test our steadfastness and everything we know!

Or rather, with that Dropbox Modus, it’ll test everything we don’t know.

(also, at first, i thought that dropbox modus was much like the miracle modus, but after taking a few minutes to think about it, i found that i was wrong. the dropbox modus wouldn’t actually be all that random, compared to miracle, at least.)

Ahh there's a modus out there that sorta matches your description!I've forgotten what it's called. I think Windows XP Modus? Yeah.But if you'd like one that specifically caters to what you've described, I present to you one of two moduses I've come up with:The Chromebook Beta Modus!This modus drops a modus laptop in your hands and allows you to search up your items, 'downloading' (captchaloguing) the ghosts of items you don't currently have.Though, like its title says, it is only a Beta, and it will lag if its search history isn't cleared often or if too much 'data' (sylladex space) is consumed or if you mash 'refresh' too much.And then here's the second modus:The Tumblr Mobile/Tumblr Labs Modus.You should be able to know exactly how it works by its title.Simple, easy to pick up (literally, as it'll drop a modus phone with only the app, 'Tumodusblr' on it), but lags when too many 'posts' (items) are 'on your dashboard' (in your sylladex).Also updates a lot and has these weird new functions every now and then.Hope this suffices!

Ok so, Witches are typically people who crave freedom and control through their aspect or of their aspect. They tend to bend the rules in their favour by using their aspect, or they bend rules of their aspect itself. They ultimately manipulate through their aspect, manipulate with their aspect, or manipulate the aspect itself.

Witches also tend to reflect their aspect through how they manipulate it.

In this case, you, as a Witch with the aspect of Freedom and Direction (Breath), are probably someone who craves ultimate freedom and independence!

You need a modus that helps reflect this and help you satisfy your want for freedom.

The Windy Thing!

That’s.. literally what the modus is called. The Windy Thing.

The Windy Thing allows you to FREELY captchalogue anything and retrieve anything, both at any time.

With a gust of wind, an item is either placed into or taken from your sylladex. You, however, are responsible for controlling the wind that MEDDLES with your sylladex items.

Fairly simple, matches up to your title as Witch of Breath.

Ok!Indigo-blooded, confident, independent Knight of Void who acts as if she don’t need no other troll.We need a nice shielding modus for this Knight in Voidy armour that should place enough distance between her and other people, or at least a modus that she should be able to use privately.I was going to suggest a Diary Modus, buuuut….How about the Invisible Ink Modus instead?Using this modus can be a little tricky, if you don’t know how invisible ink works or if you aren’t a Void player.Captcha cards with this modus have no names, look blank, and look like paper. The modus provides its owner with a pen containing ink that goes invisible immediately after you finish writing.Write ‘CAPTCHALOGUE’ on the item(s) you want to captchalogue, and the item(s) will disappear into your sylladex as soon as the ink goes invisible.The captcha cards will still look blank, though.To see what kind of items you have in your sylladex at any given time, you have to use methods that allow you to see the invisible ink. Or, just be a Void player.Void players would use their universal ability of seeing hidden things and being able to cloak anything.In this case, your Knight would be able to easily see the invisible ink. It’ll be like looking at clear tape for her; supposed to be hidden, but can be seen.Your inventory will appear stored in a big, diary-like book whenever you want to retrieve anything, and all the pages are captcha cards. That’s actually really cool! And, could be oddly efficient if the 24 Norse runes were memorized and if it could be applied to an outside environment. A few friends of mine would absolutely LOVE this fetch modus.

Though, I do have some questions.

What does the modus provide in order to cast a rune? How is a rune cast? Is a rune invoked or drawn in order to retrieve an item? What drawbacks or catches are there, if any? How would be applied to a character and what kind of character would it be ideally applied to? And, finally, what kind of environment would it work best in (even though settings have little to do with modus performance)?

Sorry if these questions come off as probing or a little condescending!

I was about to suggest Memory or Recipe, but you match better with a modus that happens to belong to another Mage of Blood I know!

You’ve got the Frequence Sequence Modus!

 The Frequence Sequence Modus isn’t a good modus for starters. 

 It looks a lot like the simpler moduses combined. (Array, Queue, Stack, Wallet.)But it isn’t all that simple. 

 Once you assign this to your sylladex, you must remember the frequency of your captchalogues and sylladex retrievals. 

 Say you start to captchalogue 2 items every 5 hours, and repeatedly do so for an extended period of time. Then you start retrieving 4 items every 6 hours and repeatedly do so. The modus will remember this (how frequently you captchalogue and retrieve items) and start a sequence — and after a longer period of time, it will have become a remembered pattern.

You can captchalogue and retrieve whatever you want in whatever order, but it must appeal to the remembered pattern; Your sylladex will not allow you to take any more than 4 items under the time limit, and same goes for putting in any more than 2 items under the time limit.

You captchalogue 2 items in 5 minutes rather than in 5 hours? Nope, can’t captchalogue any more. Try and be sneaky and get an extra item out when you need more than 4 things in those 6 hours? Nu-uh, can’t do that my dude.

 The items are sorted by either most recent to oldest, oldest to most recent, or custom setting that allows you to organize the items yourself -- you choose.

 Examples: Recent to oldest– a pair of glasses, a box of tissues, a wallet, and a satchel. Oldest to recent, same items– a satchel, a wallet, a box of tissues, and a pair of glasses.Custom Setting (this is alphabetically sorted, but you can always arrange it you own way)-- a box of tissues, a pair of glasses, a satchel, and a wallet.

 Be careful, though; the Frequence Sequence Modus often automatically captchalogues or ejects items if the frequency pattern is not met. 

 That means- say you’re off dreaming on your dream planet for a long time. Your modus will captchalogue 2 random items every 5 hours and eject a random 4 every 6 hours. 

 And items aren’t limited to the usual small things you would captchalogue.

 When you wake up, you could find yourself on the floor instead of the bed that is now inside your sylladex. You could also happen to wake up when you usually retrieve items and watch as 4 random items are ejected from your sylladex. 

But you should be able to pick this up pretty easily. With your interests and your skills, you should be able to master this modus in a short amount of time!

NOTE: If you ever want to change your remembered pattern, choose the ‘reset’ or ‘delete data’ option on the modus’ settings. Don’t do it until your sylladex is completely empty; the modus will erase those items along with its old data.

Oh man, oh man, oh man!!

You’d have a Poetic Sticky Note Web Modus!

This modus gives you a sticky note pad to write on. You can either write or draw whatever you’d like to captchalogue!

For small/simple things, all you have to do is write or draw what you’d like — say, a cup. Just scribble down cup onto the modus’ sticky note pad!

But for bigger/more complex things, you have to write a poem that pertains to the item you want to captchalogue.

Once you’re done, just rip the sticky note off the pad and the item will be captchalogued into a cork board covered by a web of sticky-note captcha cards, all STRUNG together by little things you write/draw when your mind is wandering.

Also, have a departure poem memorized! It’s the only way to retrieve anything — big, small, simple, complex — from your sylladex; you have to write down a poem relating to the topic of literal departure, not metaphorical departure. But your modus won’t care if it’s the same one over and over.

Though, sometimes, it can be hard to focus and your MIND may be somewhere else.

You’ve got quite a simple, yet complex, modus, my Thief of Mind.

Rogue of Blood! Such good traits for a Rogue of Blood.

Ok so, your Rogue would need a modus that’s creatively organized.

How about the Paint-On Chart Modus?

This is exactly as it says it is.

It’s a modus that organizes your items in a chart (chart looks like one of those family trees) using paint.

The chart starts off with ‘Modus’ as its main topic, and branches off into littler, related topics. It also organizes items by colour.

To captchalogue something, you’d have to be holding paint and spill it/paint it on the item you want to captchalogue. Doesn’t matter how, doesn’t matter which colour.

For example.

Your Rogue captchalogues a tomato by accident by spilling paint on it.

Say Rogue has their chart divided into four topics so far; red, green, blue, purple. Within each of those topics, there are littler ones specifying what kind of item it is. Inside example, red devovles into the topics of food/foodwares, which consist of red cups, and edibles, with some strawberries. The tomato would go in Modus —> Red —> Food/Foodwares —> Edibles and plop itself down there.

Now, if Rogue wants to retrieve the tomato, though, to throw it away or at someone’s face, they’ll have to go and get it by spilling paint wherever they want it to be placed/ejected. But, the colour of the retrieval paint must contrast with the colour of paint used to captchalogue the tomato.

Like, if Rogue spilled some yellow paint on the tomato, they’d have to splat some purple paint wherever they want the tomato to be placed/ejected.

A little hard to master if your Rogue can’t contrast colours, though. But hey, at least it organizes their stuff and gives em an excuse to splash paint everywhere.
