I swear I've come across at least two historical novels that try to credential their heroine's bookishness by listing all the novels she loved in childhood, which is great! Except when they say she loved the Narnia books but it's only 1940...
Okay, wait, no, only this one I'm currently reading has the Narnia timeline wrong. The other one had a grown woman in WWI saying she loved The Wizard of Oz as a child, which is also chronologically impossible!
