Do you like Joan Collins?

Hello! I don’t really have an opinion to be honest! I don’t know her movies but she’s on tv and chat shows every so often here. I think she’s very glamorous and probably has plenty of good stories but I don’t really know much else about her :)

Marilyn deserved better than Blonde 💔

Absolutely! I haven’t seen it and don’t intend to. Her real life was interesting enough so I don’t get the fascination with the conspiracy theories and the need to degrade her based on false stories and misogyny. I think it’s pretty disrespectful to her memory and life. From what I’ve seen the director of the movie has been openly disrespectful of Marilyn and doesn’t care for her one bit so I don’t know what his motivation was other than money ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is probably a really stupid question, but the dress she is wearing here isnt her coronation gown, right? Did she get changed during the ceremony just for this part? Someone help

It’s actually a great question. I can only find this link thus far about the stages of the Coronation. She must have changed out of public view. 🤷‍♀️

Here’s a couple of closer pictures of the simple linen dress she wore for the anointing.

@krill9 @ellierosecreate She was still wearing her coronation gown under this plain white dress, this one slipped over the top of it as part of the ceremony where she was stripped of her state robes and jewels before the anointing. You can see in these gifs here - I can’t remember which doc I got the clip from but hopefully helps :)

I know American actors and actresses playing members of the royal family is always a gamble but I think Ann Dowd could play The Queen Mother

I could see that!

What’s your opinion on Anne?

Hello!

I don’t follow her closely but you know, I really respect her and I was so moved by her accompanying the Queen through her final journey, from start to end. Whether it was the Queen’s wishes or Anne requested, it felt exactly right. If you’d have asked me ten years ago I’d probably have felt intimidated by her lol, but now I’m older I understand how much of a hard worker she is in her role and how seriously she takes it. I also love 👏🏽 how she didn’t bend to the traditional idea of what a Princess is, especially being born at a time that was hyper feminine.

I’m not religious but I’d like to believe that Elizabeth is with Margaret again

Hello! :)

I’m not either, but I do like to think that as well. During the Queen’s funeral when the camera cut to the statues of her parents, it felt so sweet and I got a warm feeling inside.
