Pokemon Mystery Dungeon themed comic strip! Updates happen when I decide on a schedule or if I just feel bored and post one.

Comics again next week!

Unfortunately, there’s no update today; I recently went back to work after it shut down with COVID-19 out and about, and I wasn’t able to fit in time to get the comic done. I also need to play a bit more of the game to come up with some more scripts, but I’ve got one comic on the back burner for now so you can expect an update next Sunday.

#022 - Daycare

Why is it that Pokemon give you their unhatched eggs as rewards for missions? It’s like, “Hey, here’s an unborn child, thanks for getting me that Oran Berry.” And then when it hatches, it immediately tries to join? Bad parenting if you ask me.

Also, Pokepal Panels will most likely be uploading on Sundays from now on! Thanks to everyone who’s been supporting these comics, whether new or old.

#020 - Hidden Lands

Noticed this fun little thing happen when I unlocked the Lush Prairie from turning my gummis into juices. I kind of wish that you had to finish the dungeon before requests started popping up, but eh, it’s fine.

#018 - Unsuspicious

Surprise! 5 years later, here’s another panel! I found some old sketches of unfinished panels; I lost the scripts, but I think this is how it went in my head. I think I’m actually gonna do another playthrough of PMD2 to see if I can at least get enough panels/scripts done to finish off PMD2′s main story.

Anyways, Dusknoir was suspicious from day one and I’m annoyed that no one called him out sooner.

I’m just terrible. In my playthrough, I noticed that there were certain moments of the game where you could just do missions and not be penalized or anything; one of them being the time where you’re supposed to go to Amp Plains.

I actually went through like, 14 days worth of missions just to get to Gold Rank before advancing the story.

Okay, I don’t know if it’s just me, but sometimes it feels like the partner’s really really reeeeeally into the hero character. I mean, it sounds like I’m exaggerating in the third panel, but I’m pretty sure if you look somewhere in the game text you’ll find something like that.

Okay, I know it’s just a mirage, but still. To be honest, it’s probably my fault that I’m just breezing through the game right now. I think I spent like, 4 out of the 16 hours I’ve played so far just grinding in Marowak’s Dojo.

#011 - The True Mastermind

All right, I need to remind anyone following this blog or reading these comic strips; This is my first time playing through Explorers of Sky. I decided I wanted to do something with the special episodes, so I decided to play Bidoof’s Wish before I did the expedition.

It was harder than I expected, but I also now view Bidoof as the main villain.

#010 - Expedition Groups

So I was running out of room between the comics and where I was in the game, so I decided to play through the entire Expedition to get some more strips written out, and when I saw this scene, I actually laughed out loud when I read Wigglytuff say that about Chatot.

As for Zeal’s “ooc” reaction to getting grouped with Bidoof, I like to imagine it that the partner wanted a bit of alone/bonding time with the hero.

#009 - Sentry Duty

I always thought Sentry Duty was entertaining, so I decided to make a strip about. I always wondered what would happen for Pokemon that float; I assume they just touch their bodies to the grate, but where’s the fun in that?
