So FLCL is one of my favorite anime. When FLCL 2+3 dropped at Anime Expo I was pumped to see more. So I rewatched just to refresh my mind, and this time I stopped to think about all the deeper themes below the surface and how the characters interact with each other. So here is my attempt at an analytical video about FLCL, specifically about Naota and the sour drink from episode 1. If you liked this video, be sure to give it a like. While you are at it, be sure to stop by and visit my Youtube channel. There will be more videos like this in the future so just hold on tight. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy.

Tom and Jerry’s true selves would be right at home here. Marginally. This watered-down Preston Blair-ish style gets tiresome after only this much. (And since Tumblr will suppress this if it has links, be sure to check my Patreon and Instagram branches- links in the blog!)

The drawing app that I use just added a timelapse feature so I decided to test it out! (Forgive me, there’s no music… I’ll figure out how to edit that in next time.)

I’ve been thinking about this gem a lot lately. Fandom and such aside, I really do miss her. v_v

Vidcon Drama and Why Rules Matter

So some shit went down at Vidcon this year. Shit that I think tells a lot about how Vidcon might be for new creators in the future. So last week Anita Sarkeesian (DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN) had a panel about women in videogames or something, and one of the more prominent skeptic channels, Sargon of Akkad was there to simply listen to what was being said. Instead, Ms Sarkeesian decided to berate and bully him on stage. What I think is worse than having a featured creator mock a paying audience member, is having Vidcon staff side with the featured creator and not even reach out to the audience member to get his side.

Removing the negative aspects of either party, let’s look at the basic facts of what happened. A featured guest mocks an audience member AND GOT AWAY WITH IT. In what world is that okay? It is not. Period. I want to make it clear that while I watch Sargon of Akkad and disagree with Sarkeesian, I am upset that this was allowed to happen in what is supposed to be an open space for creators.
