some stats on lando to show exactly why i never doubted that he would get his win. while he has had a total of 16 podiums during his time at mclaren his teammates have a collective of 5 podiums between them as his teammates. he has a total of 716 career point whilst his teammates collectively have 491 points. he’s got the 6th highest percentage of podiums per starts of all the drivers currently on the grid the others being lewis, max, valtteri, charles and perez (higher by 0.28%), all of whom, other than charles, have been racing at teams that have been winning construction championships during their time. he has the 4th highest percentage of points scoring races out of the drivers on the grid finishing 76.36% of races that he’s competed in in the points. even after all the discussion of it taking “so long” for him to get a win he’s still the 16th youngest driver to get a win. he has the 3rd highest percentage of q3 appearances of the current drivers at 79% only missing q3 23 times in his career and only being out in q1 5 times. the win was always coming and as george said, it was always when, not if.
