Our heroes are positive that a small rustic village shouldn't be resting in the middle of this deadly forest. But for a few, other things seem to be of greater import: lost friends and old dreams.

The sound quality is gonna be a little weird, since this was recorded during the charity stream. Thanks everyone who came and watched, everyone who donated, and everyone who listens to the podcast. Please don’t ever let yourselves forget the good you’ve done, and the people you’ve helped.

Pretend Adventures: Roleplaying One Shots

Episode 2 - Fiasco

Bonus One Shot! Fiasco is a freeform storytelling game, designed so that all scenarios eventually fall apart.(tw: Miscarriage at 1:12:00 of part one)

Setting up the test game for this actually went more smoothly, it was weird. The story came together way quicker. Ron ran over my grandmother in a hearse he sold drugs in.

A conversation with Bell leads the players to believe something is happening out in the forest. Maybe following a squad of a soldiers into the unknown, they can pull back the curtains.

They went pretty quickly from “That was dangerous and we shouldn’t go back out there’ to “We better go back out there”

Still wary that it might be a worthless excursion, our heroes journey out into the forest of Hadestown, hoping they find more then death in the pink forest.

I don’t know how it took this long for people to start googling the things I say.

Slowly, our heroes are feeling more and more like they haven't prepared properly for the mystery that awaits them in Hadestown. What is blarneystone? Why is no one sweating? Is any of this real food?

They seem to have decided on rampant paranoia as the ideal puzzle solving method this time.

At the bottom of a giant mining, lies Hades Town. Cut off from the rest of Atla, isolated and mysterious, what could be waiting the players during a simple rock shopping mission?

You’ll notice they didn’t even get to try and roll to see through Ragna’s disguise. The dc would’ve been too high on something so flawless.

So what if the old, decrepit mining elevator began spitting up bits of people, I'm sure it's totally safe. I'm sure nothing bad with happen down in the confining, suffocating dark.

I really thought they would just walk away from the elevator that spits chunks.

Who knew the door to the sewer could close! Only Ragna and Sapphire Melody can get out in time, and so it's up to them to forgo saving themselves and find a way to rescue everyone.

I doubted Ragna’s ability to easily and casually destroy large, immovable structures.
