ANDOR!!!!!!!!!
When Mandalorian came out, people were like "this is it! This is what Star Wars always should have been! It's finally good!" And I finally got around to it and, you know, maybe it's just because I saw it years later, maybe it's because I wasn't there for the hype and spectacle and so on and so forth.. but it was alright. Not terrible! But just fine. Not quite on the level I was expecting from what people were saying. I haven't gotten around to S2 of it yet, nor the Boba show - I thought the Obi-Wan show was borderline disastrous and a complete misfire ..
Andor is that show for me. Andor is so unbelievably good - just capital G Good, not just 'good for Star Wars'. The kinda thing I daydreamed about when playing KOTOR and such as a teen but never really expected them to ever go in that direction. Genuine 'prestige' television but w/ a Star Wars shell. It's delightful stuff. The complaint I see about it the most often is that it's too boring or 'talky', and I wish I was a more verbose person because the only thing I can think to say in response to that is whoever thinks that is just stupid.
