I thought everyone used references! Picasso and Van Gogh most likely did, Tumblr just needs to be more positive towards using references to draw. My favourite artist on here @drinkyourfuckingmilk used references for an NSFW art. I don’t know about the rest. I also love @daydream24-7 art style, but I don’t know if they use references. Point it: References are used= cool! References not used= Cool! Don’t feel bad for using references.

There is nothing wrong with using references. ANY art college and university will encourage them because it helps create more accurate work. Using a reference doesnt make you less talented or a "tracer" and anyone who thinks that way really is just stupid. Beside that point anyone who claims an artist as untalented needs to get their head out of their ass because its not a hat.
