Oh my goodness. I don’t know how it happened, but somehow I’ve passed 1,000 followers! You guys??? are all awesome. As a thank you to everyone for tolerating following me, I’ve decided that it’s time for another giveaway like the one I did in July! 

So just to recap for those who don’t know, I have a part-time job at an “adult” store. It’s a lot of fun, super informative, and I also tend to get a lot of free/ really cheap items from trainings, overstock, promo items, employee discounts, etc. Well, I’ve gotten to the point where I really need to clean out my closet, AGAIN, because this stuff tends to pile up! However, just a note: this will be my LAST giveaway with adult items, because I’ve put in my two weeks at the store. So get your free stuff while you can! 😊

Here are the rules:

There will be three winners. The winners will be chosen at random and then I will message the winners.

The first-place winner will have first pick of whichever prize they want, the second-place winner gets pick of the two remaining prizes still left, and the third place winner will get the prize that’s left. 

The same person cannot win more than one prize. If a winner doesn’t respond within 48 hours, I will choose another winner. If you win and then change your mind and don’t want a prize, just let me know and I can pick a different winner, there’s no obligation to accept a prize. “Um, I mean - I guess…”

“So, you can say with certainty - knowing that humans have only explored less than five percent of your world’s ocean - that there are absolutely no mermaids living there?”

Dean paused, snapping his mouth shut as he stared back at the angel, trying to read between the lines.

“Cas… are you implying that you know mermaids exist?”

Castiel’s amused smile faded into something more nonchalant as he sat up and stretched his arms above his head.

“I’m going to get a glass of water. Do you want anything?”

“Cas,” Dean leaned over to make a desperate grab at his arm to keep him in bed and missed, as Castiel had already stood up. “C’mon, Cas. Wait - are mermaids real??”

Castiel grinned and began putting on a robe, cinching it loosely around his waist.

The silence dragged on while Castiel walked over to the bedroom door, tugging it open and turning to glance over his shoulder agonizingly slowly.

“I’ll have to ask the Loch Ness Monster.”

The door shut behind him.

The ocean is a flat plane of glass, and the boat doesn’t cause a single ripple as it glides along the surface. Dean has no idea how they managed to drift out so far, but somehow they’ve completely lost sight of the shoreline. The only indication of the horizon is the thinnest, faintest line; a stray hair caught in a watercolour canvas.

It’s light out, the air around him a diffusion of pink and gold and reflected back in the water’s mirror surface, but he can’t find the sun. Perhaps it’s nearing dawn.

Dean’s leaning back against the bow, hands behind his head. The gunwales are kind of digging into his shoulders, but he’s smiling.

His companion is silent and placid where he sits near the stern. The light is catching the tips of his hair, setting off the dark with glints of gold. Clasped hands hang between splayed knees.

Dean inhales thick, salt air and lets his eyes drift closed. “This was a good idea. We needed a vacation.”

“You deserve it.”

Dean hums, contented. “You too. Hell, we’ve all been through the ringer lately.”

Cas nods. “I suppose we have.”

Their voices float easily through the air, but in the space all around them it’s perfectly quiet, save the occasional soft, gentle slap of water against the boat.

“Seriously, we shoulda done this years ago.”

“When?” Cas asks, the corner of his mouth quirking up. “After the apocalypse, but before the leviathan? Maybe between the Mark of Cain and Amara?”

“Anybody ever tell you you’re kind of a downer, Cas?” Dean replies peaceably.

“Once or twice.”

Another long and companionable silence stretches out between them. They’ve been out here a while now and the sun probably should’ve risen, but it’s hardly a concern: the glow of light around them is warm enough. In fact, Dean could probably afford to take off his jacket, were he not far too comfortable to move.

“Dean. How long do you plan to stay out here?”

Dean cracks one eye. “What, you got somewhere to be?”

Cas’ answering smile is fond, and only slightly tinged with sadness. “No.”

“That’s what I thought.” Dean drops his eyelid.

“It’s just, there are things you need to do.”

Both Dean’s eyes open now, and he leans all the way up to sit on the hard, wooden seat. The boat rocks and sways. “Yeah, Cas, there’s always something. But you are cutting into our hard-earned relaxation time, man. You keep this up, you can kiss that second date goodbye.”

“This is a date?”

Dean gives him a look. “You take a lot of platonic pre-dawn rowboat rides?”

“I suppose not,” Cas says, and he casts his eyes out to the water. “I’m just a little surprised.”

“But not disappointed.”

There’s a faint blush dusting Cas’ cheeks. Maybe it’s just the light. “No.”

“Because you love me.” Cas’ eyebrows rocket up to his hairline, and Dean shrugs defensively. “Hey, you said it, not me.”

“Well, that’s certainly true.”

Dean’s gotta give him that one. “Touché.”

Cas is looking at him patiently, waiting.

Feeling rather like a third-grader forced to answer a question he wasn’t listening to in the first place, Dean casts his eyes down, suddenly intensely interested in the rough woodgrain below his feet. The fact that the boat has no oars is a mild curiosity.

“I dunno,” Dean shrugs. “Probably shoulda said it then. Guess I just figured you knew.”

“Because you’re always so open and honest with your feelings.”

That’s two points to Cas.

Dean plays for time a while longer, scraping his boots through the coarse, black sand he tracked in from the beach. “Alright, well, there it is. Better late than never, right?”

This time Cas doesn’t bother trying to hide the heartache in his smile.

They sit in silence again, for minutes or maybe hours. Eventually Cas looks left to the non-existent sun. “It’s probably time to go back,” he says quietly.

Dean shakes his head. “Nah. Little longer.”

“You have responsibilities, Dean.”

Dean scoffs. “What, you mean Rosemary’s baby?”

“He didn’t ask to be what he is.”

“He’s the literal antichrist, Cas.”

“Whatever he is,” Cas says firmly, “good or evil, he needs someone. He needs guidance.”

“He needs a bullet in the neck.”

Cas shakes his head. “You don’t mean that. He’s an innocent, Dean. And he needs you and Sam, now that I can’t be there for him anymore.”

Something flickers in Dean’s chest, like a moth beating against his heart. He frowns, confused, and finds Cas’ eyes.

The intent expression on Cas’ face gradually shifts to one of resignation. He sighs softly. “You forgot again, didn’t you?”

Dean jolts awake to a blaring car horn.

Sam is driving, the hideous sodium streetlights casting harsh lines of shadow across his face when he turns to the passenger seat. “You were talking again.”

Dean doesn’t answer as he reacquaints himself with the deep, aching chasm in his chest.

Sam swallows visibly, shadows of raindrops on the windshield like pockmarks on his skin. “Do you wanna talk about it?”

Dean grits his teeth. “Yeah, Sam. There were these clowns. Like thirty of ‘em, and they all kept piling out of this Volkswagon.” The lie slides easy off his tongue.

Sam throws up a hand in surrender. “Okay.”

Anger is easier. Anger is always easier.

Dean closes his eyes tight and tries to chase the soft, pink-gold light of the ocean. He inhales Baby’s familiar leather scent, desperate for a whiff of salt air.

He tries to forget.

Destiel Fics too Good to Put Down

I am creating a Master List of all the fanfics I have liked and reblogged.  I am trying to put them in some kind of order, but stories tend to span categories. As a heads up, most of these fics are going to be NC-17 and longer than 50k words (Last updated: 8/20/16)

High School/College/Teacher:

Blackboard (76k words):  Castiel Novak is a college English teacher, in a rather inappropriate relationship with Dean Winchester, who happens to be one of his students. But although their arrangement is one that works perfectly for the both of them, Castiel is starting to worry that maybe keeping it impersonal will be harder than he thought.

Hear You Me (82k words):  Castiel is a college graduate stuck in two dead-end, part-time jobs. Oh, and he’s Deaf. Enter Dean Winchester. A chance encounter with the man may have the power to change Castiel’s life.

A Little Patience (288k words): Dean starts up a friends with benefits situation with his best friend Cas. What he finds is Cas is a lot kinkier then he ever expected…and feelings creep up on you when you least expect it.

Smoke in the Mirror (52k words):  It begins with the flier hung in the library: art model needed for thesis project, will pay. Castiel figures it’s an easy way to make some extra money, but modeling for Dean Winchester ends up complicating his life far beyond anything he could have imagined.

The Spirit of Lawrence High (70k words):  Dean Winchester is funny, gorgeous, brave, loyal, and a breath of fresh air in Castiel Shurley’s life. Dean Winchester is also a ghost haunting Castiel’s school, but nobody’s perfect, right?

Cas Erotica, the Dean of Iniquity (55k words): Dean Winchester owns his own business, works on cars, lives in a mansion… and is also a highly successful pornography mogul looking for his next project. Cas Novak is a bookworm that got into porn while trying to pay off student loans, and never left.

Chasing Cars (45k words):  After an awkward accidental encounter at a local strip club, Castiel discovers his college roommate, Dean, has a secret career as a stripper, and their relationship begins to change and a bond begins to form.

Have Love, Will Travel (94k words): Castiel Novak is a reclusive writer with a childhood so tragic it’s left him terrified to leave his home—until his overbearing brother, Gabriel, drags him out for a night on the town full of booze and strip clubs, and he encounters Dean Winchester, a mesmerizing and mysterious stripper with secrets of his own.

Heaven & Hell Escort Service (123k words):  Castiel Novak is a high class escort. Dean Winchester may have accidentally told his father he has a long-term boyfriend to bring along to Sam’s wedding. Desperate times call for desperate measures… an escort service might not be what he wants, but it could be exactly what he needs.

The Prank that Filled the Spank Bank (41k words): Castiel records audio pornography. Not professionally, or anything - he writes it and then reads it out, and uploads it free to the world. It’s not Dean’s usual type of porn - at all - but there’s something about Castiel’s gravelly, yet somehow smooth and beautiful voice that keeps him hooked

Santorum will Pry my Porn from my Cold Dead Hands (41k words):  President Santorum bans all pornography, and Dean decides to start his very own prohibition racket. Unfortunately, the only person he can find to ‘perform’ is Castiel.

Unsolicited (56k words): In which Dean Winchester gets an unsolicited dick pic from an unknown sender which is both totally not disappointing in that it’s a really nice dick pic, and incredibly disappointing in that it’s clearly a downloaded picture of his favorite porn star.  There’s absolutely no way it’s actually this porn star sending it to him, right?  Right?

All for One, One for All Verse (116k words): Dean Winchester and the identical twins Castiel and Jimmy Novak have a…rather unique…relationship. Stories in this series trace the development of that relationship at different points in time.

A Story for Every Corner (22k words):  Dean’s a late bloomer. When he presents as an omega, everyone is surprised, and everything changes. Only a few months into omegahood, Dean decides to book it. A couple of truck rides and a state later, Dean’s in Apple Springs, Colorado at a bed & breakfast called The Snoozing Squirrel.

Typecast (75k words): Up-and-coming movie actor Castiel Novak knows he’ll never be taken seriously if all he ever plays is betas, and as an alpha he certainly doesn’t think it’s a wise career choice to play an omega. However, when he’s offered the omega role in a gay romance and learns that the much more famous (and his crush) Dean Winchester is playing the alpha, Cas decides maybe it’s time to take a risk. It doesn’t take long for Cas to return to his purgatory look.

It’s not quite drastic; it’s just a gradual inclination back to his previous state of dishevelment, and Dean mightn’t have noticed it at all if Cas hadn’t been away for a few days.

But it catches Dean’s eye when he sees Cas next, this look of unkempt rumpledness: the crumpled trenchcoat; the wrinkled dress shirt, unbuttoned at the neck; the stubble on his face that’s beginning to look more like a beard, again, and less like a five o’clock shadow.  

“He needs a wife,” Mrs. Tate tells Dean reproachfully.

Dean being hit by a love spell, and seeing Cas first - and falling for him, magically.

And Sam’s ready to hold his brother back from any embarrassing behaviour, anything he’ll regret later - but Dean handles it like a pro. He keeps his hands to himself - barely pats Cas on the shoulder to say goodnight, barely says a word out of place, as they sit in the bunker and try to figure out how to break the spell. There’s a feeling, sometimes, when Dean looks at Cas… a feeling of something deep moving beneath the surface, of a powerful emotion - but Dean keeps it perfectly in check.

“How are you doing that?” Sam says. “Is it a weak spell?”

Dean, jaw clenched - fire in his blood, burning alive - shakes his head slowly. “It’s strong,” he says. I’ve got practice, he almost adds.

Cas comes to see him that night, late. Dean’s awake, of course, researching in his room, laptop glowing brightly. He jerks his head up sharply when Cas knocks at the door, always alert.

“Cas,” Dean says. “Come in.”

“You’re sure? With the spell, it won’t be too…” Cas pauses, awkward. Dean shakes his head.

“It’s alright,” he says - and then makes the first and only mistake that the spell pushes out of him. “I’m used to it,” he adds.

They both pause. Dean stares at Cas in a kind of paralysed silence - unable to believe that now, now, after all these years of quietness, he has twisted a little of his feelings into words.

“I would ask you how it feels,” Cas says, eventually. He’s standing half-inside the door, tense. “But I believe I know already.”

There’s a moment of utter noiselessness - but to Dean, to Cas, it’s the loudest few seconds of their lives. Understanding crashes into them both; without words, louder than words, with eyes alone, they tell each other everything.

It turns out, the only thing needed to break the spell is a single kiss.

They make sure the spell is completely broken, though, by not leaving it at one.

“I miss the handprint,” Cas blurts out one night. Dean watches as his face falls, like he instantly regrets saying it. Those bright blue eyes dart around nervously, like he wishes he still had the power to poof out of the bunker and just disappear.

“What, the handprint you left on my arm?” Dean asks, confused.

Cas nods, looking once again like he’s going against his better judgment, and Dean’s breath catches in his throat. He clears it and tries not to let his reaction show.

“Why would you miss that?” Dean asks.

Dean knows why he misses it. He misses the comfort it used to give him, the solace of knowing that someone saved him, that there was someone who would always save him, even if it meant literally fighting his way through Hell. And as long as he never discusses it with Cas, he can even pretend that it was a sign that Cas truly cares, and not just because it was his assigned duty once upon a time.

But why would Cas miss it?

“I…” Cas pauses and tilts his head as he considers his words. “It used to make me feel connected to you. Like you were m-” He closes his mouth abruptly. “Never mind. It isn’t important.”

Dean swallows hard, and with a heart pounding so loudly in his ears he can barely hear his own voice, he answers. “Like I was what, Cas? Like I was yours?”

Cas stares with wide eyes as he nods.

Dean steps forward, hands shaking a little, until their noses are almost touching. “I am, Cas. Handprint or not, I’ve been yours.”

Cas exhales then like he’s been holding it in for a long time, and lets his hand run up Dean’s arm as he leans in, not stopping until his fingers settle in the place they belong.

Dean is the proud owner of Dean’s Pie Bakery And Café. His favourite patron is Castiel, a professor at the nearby university, who studies medieval witchy stuff for fun (and for a book he wants to write). Cas loves Dean’s pies and Dean loves Cas’ eyes. This could be such a cute little bakery love story – if it weren’t for the fact that one was a retired hunter and the other one a powerful witch. There’s also the small matter of the little black cat Dean finds in front of his bakery one cold and rainy night. Not to forget the crazy witch on the loose, with a fable for ripping out other witches’ hearts…

Prologue

The bakery looked so warm and inviting. It was empty save for the lonely man cleaning the counters. Soft music could be heard even through the thick window, a classic rock song, accompanied by the rumbling voice of the man. The light illuminated the last display cases of delicious muffins and pies in the window, not yet cleaned out for the night.

The warmth and light was such a contrast to the outside world. Night had already fallen over the city, the darkness hardly a difference to the day. Storm clouds had brought heavy rain around midday, stealing all of the sunlight hours before dusk. But with the actual night, the cold came. It was bordering on dropping below freezing, the rain the only sign that this line hadn’t been crossed yet. Yet, even the rain felt colder, each drop stabbing into skin like pins and needles. No sane soul was outside in weather like this. None. Except for one.

Cas’ blue eyes reflected the light coming from inside this warm haven. Had anyone seen him in this moment, they would’ve seen all the sorrow, the despair in those eyes. How much he longed to be able to just go to the door and step inside. He was so desperate for it, for so many reasons. It was not just the warmth that would shelter him from the cold creeping inside him with every further drop. It wasn’t just the delicious treats, teasing him, reminding him that it had been days since last he had tasted them. No, it was mostly the man inside the bakery. But if Dean had seemed out of his reach before, now he most definitely was. And yet.

Cas’ paws landed on the glass of the window, as he was longing for what lay behind. As he watched Dean sway softly to the music, the rain still pouring on his black fur, he let his mind wander back to the day that had started it all …

“Oh my god. Look! Is that who I think it is?”

“Who?”

“Right over there! On the ice rink!”

Dean rubbed his hands together briskly as he half-listened to the conversation that was getting louder from directly behind him in line. He frowned at the hole he’d just noticed in one of his knitted gloves - but they were something he’d quickly picked up at the dollar store, so he couldn’t be too upset over cheap quality.

“I don’t know what you’re -”

“I swear to god, Anna. Use your eyes and tell me that’s not him.”

The skate rental line wasn’t as long as he’d been expecting, but Dean had already been standing in the cold air for five minutes with nothing to do for entertainment but eavesdrop. Trying not to show he’d been listening in, Dean casually looked over his shoulder until he had a good view of the people currently skating on the rink. There were a few families slowly dragging each other along the ice, plenty of couples holding hands and laughing, a few people racing around the rink, and one lone skater doing a very impressive spin in the center that eventually slowed to a stop.

“Oh, I think… I think you’re right…”

The voice that had previously seemed to doubt her friend apparently belonged to a redheaded woman that was almost directly behind him.

“Told you.” Dean saw the blonde woman smirk out of the corner of his eyes. “What the hell is Castiel Novak doing here?”

Sam wishes for the sweet embrace of death the first time he walks past the bunker’s bathroom and hears Cas’ voice moan through the wall with a satisfied “Dean” tagged onto the end.

But death doesn’t come, so Sam runs away and locks himself in his room and puts his headphones on and hopes he never hears Cas and Dean having sex again.

Of course, Sam never gets what he wants so two days later he boxes his ears after hearing another desperate and breathy “Dean” coming from Cas’ room.

A few hours later that day he passes by Dean’s room and hears an equally passionate “Cas” and begins to wonder how often these two fuckers fuck.

It happens a dozen times in a week before Sam has had enough and decides to bring it up at breakfast.

“Guys, there’s something we need to talk about.”

Cas and Dean look up at him innocently.

“Look, I know you guys are fucking–”

“What?”

“–and I’m super happy for you, all right? Thrilled. But seriously, can you keep it down?”

Cas and Dean look at each other with confused expressions before Dean turns back to Sam and asks again, “What?”

“Please don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m not stupid. You don’t have to keep your relationship a secret.”

Cas clears his throat and says, “Sam, I believe you’ve–”

“What do you mean relationship? Cas and I don’t–oh.”

Cas and Dean both stare at the table blankly, and Sam swears he sees blush rising on their cheeks.

“Come on, guys, just fess up. Seriously, it’s fine. What’s not fine is that I have to hear you guys shouting each other’s names all the fucking time, and–oh.”

Sam’s eyes dart between the two of them as realization dawns on him. “Oh. Oh.”

Now that he’s thinking about it, he’s never actually heard them…together. He’s just heard them, individually, say each other’s names. While making sexual noises. Individually.

“Well, um,” Sam starts. “It looks like you two have a lot to talk about. Um. Yeah. It was an easy mistake. Please…don’t kill me.”

Two hours later, Sam passes by Cas’ room and hears a “Dean,” and this time it’s immediately followed by an enthusiastic “Cas.”

He’s regretting asking them not to kill him.
