Hey all!
We've gotten a handful of messages asking about future event plans that we wanted to make sure and address. First of all, our apologies for the radio silence. The mod team had a number of life events that has made being a consistent presence pretty difficult. It's really important to us that participants have a good experience and can trust we'll be promptly communicative, so we didn't want to launch an event that we couldn't guarantee would meet those criteria. We do plan to hold this event again, and hope to have a timeline out soon. In the meantime, we really appreciate your patience.

I’m back from the dead with a fic about coming back from the dead! Write what you know 😝 Geraskier Big Bang has been amazing! My collaboration with @herostag and @moadlc surpassed all my expectations. Their work is remarkable and they are talented, creative, wonderful, and supportive people who made me feel like a star for writing this fic!
Summary: Geralt and Jaskier separate in the midst of the war with Nilfgaard. Geralt feels guilty after rejecting Jaskier’s clumsy, drunken advances, and abandoning him in a town he knows might be the next target for attack. They are lost between winter and spring, dream and reality, friendship and love, but boundaries become easy to cross once witnessing a horrifying slaughter traps them in a reoccurring nightmare which keeps ending with their deaths.

Geralt felt the last rays of sunshine disappear from his face, the blotches of warmth evaporating, replaced by the chilling breath of the evening. There was fog rising above the grass, the path in front of him already growing hazy. The rapidly dropping temperature made him feel somehow exposed, thin fabric stuck to his back, sweaty from exertion. He shifted his weight, and Roach slowed down from a gallop to a walk with a quiet snort.
He breathed in the fresh, humid smell of the forest, letting go of the last bits of the tension in his chest. The remaining tightness was not an issue, a pointless souvenir of the moment he had uttered some words he never wished to say, and had heard some he preferred left unspoken, a glimmer of a memory he was eager to push down. It will pass.

Wow, what a journey this has been. This work was truly a labor of love. Firstly, I would like to thank my collaberating artist @dat_carovieh for being so exceedingly understanding through all my confusion and for the stunning artwork they created for the fic. Secondly, I would like thank my dearest friend @starlightOnInk for being my editor and all around support system for all the times I felt like giving up. And lastly, I would like to thank the absolutely incredible Mods at GBB 2021, you all did such a spectacular job and your hard work is so appreciated. This is the biggest and longest fic I have written in many, many years and while I’m still anxious about how well it all turned out, I am so proud of myself for seeing it through. The love of these two idiots is a world altering force.

Refusing to accept Geralt's death, Jaskier jumps at the chance to fix it, even though it means trapping himself in a time loop. There are warnings, of course. Events happen as they happen. Time tends to resist alteration in the places where it matters. He will be trapped until he accepts the outcome. Jaskier ignores them all and pits his resolve against destiny itself, convinced his refusal to give up on Geralt will be enough. It isn’t. Jaskier fails over and over and over again, destiny course correcting every single time. Determination isn't enough to change events, he comes to find. But maybe love is enough to bend the details.

Eventually Jaskier settles down on the bed. When he’s been silent for several long moments Geralt cracks open an eye. The light from the fire in the hearth is more than enough to see by for his enhanced eyesight. Jaskier is curled up on the bed, back to the wall and limbs gathered up to his chest. It’s a childlike pose that strikes a dissonant chord in Geralt’s chest. He remembers spending nights with Jaskier in other inns, in camps on the roadside, and Jaskier sprawls when he sleeps. Limbs flung out in every direction, sometimes close enough to grasp for Geralt’s warmth.

The time has come when I can finally post the artwork I did for @ghostinthelibrarywrites's fantastic fic Salt and Ash, Iron and Bone a beyond amazing reincarnated human!Geralt, fae!Jaskier story that was our project for the @geraskierbigbang. It is a beautifully written story with so much emotion and love and longing, charming dialogue enchanting details, and awesome characterization, I cannot recommend enough that you click over and read it on AO3!!
Summary: After Geralt’s death, Jaskier returns to the fae realm, unable to live in the human world without the witcher he loved. When he’s attacked and nearly killed eight centuries later, Jaskier flees back to the human world, where he finds himself face-to-face with Geralt. This Geralt is a redheaded, freckled human with no memory of his life as a witcher or Jaskier. But as Jaskier gets to know his oldest friend all over again— and starts to fall in love with him all over again— a mysterious enemy threatens both their lives.

As a star, Jaskier’s expected to sit in the night sky, shine brightly and answer wishes. He’s not supposed to fall in love with the world he’s watching, and he’s most definitely not supposed to fall in love with a specific witcher in it. When Jaskier accidentally trips his way into the human world, however, he finds himself alongside Geralt of Rivia-- the very witcher he’d spent most of his existence loving and watching from afar.
In his new human form, Jaskier takes part in all the worldly things he’s never known-- at the same time, he’s faced with a decision. Stars aren’t meant to be on earth-- and the more Jaskier uses his limited star-given magic, the more likely he is to lose his status as a star, altogether. Worse still? He’s not entirely sure how much Geralt will care for him if he’s nothing more than a simple human.
