So five years ago today, I took the plunge and decided why not create a roleplay blog for one of my favourite characters on television, the original hybrid himself, Klaus Mikaelson. And five years later, for some reason I’m still here writing as him. It’s been a long road with him, filled with many moments I’ve wanted to straight up quit, long hiatus’ without any ability to write, but none the less - I MADE IT! As I am completely inept at being talented at doing fancy things, I figured I’d make a little shout out post just to some people I’ve gotten to write with (who are still active, five years is a long time :P), who I’ve met in group verses, or who I’ve simply ended up following from a mutual on the dash and been following threads they’ve written ever since. Also, a special shout out to some of the Klaus’ I’ve seen come around on my time here - we all write an incredibly tiresome and sometimes hair puller-outterer ( what am I even saying lord me ) of a hybrid that we love for some crazy reason and I think that deserves some recognition.

Welcome to the Idris Ballet Theatre, home to one of the country’s most prestigious ballet programs. Dancers travel from all over the world for a spot in the company whether it be as a principal dancer or as a member of the corps de ballet.

Onstage, everything is perfect. Backstage, however, it’s anything but. The dancers are each clawing their way to the top, trying to land the best roles with the best choreographers and the best costumes. And whatever they have to do to get to the top, they’ll do it, no matter what it takes.

Rules: This is a discord-based verse. This verse is based off of the movie Black Swan which is a very dark movie. Please be aware that there will be triggering content. You must be 18+ to join as there will be mature content. No OOC drama. If there is any drama, you’ll be expected to work it out among yourselves. If you can’t work it out, then you need to come to one of the admins. IC drama is very much welcome although any major events (pregnancy, death, etc.) need to be discussed with admins beforehand. All fandoms are welcome as well as OCs. A limit of four characters will be enforced. Connections between characters (major connections such as family members and those in relationships) need to be discussed with an admin before being put in the plotted connections chat. There are a total of eight principal spots available (four men, four women) and 4 soloist spots (two men, two women). Once these spots are filled, they are filled. Getting one of these spots for your character is solely on a first-come first-serves basis. There is no limit on the number of corps dancers.

PLOT:

The law is no longer the only threat to New York’s most prestigious crime organizations. For generations, the Lightwood and Bane mafias have been at war, yet no one fully knows why. However, a new family is beginning to rise from the ashes. The Morgensterns, a family heavily based in California, have found their way to New York. Territory for both families have gradually been taken, their numbers decreasing as the spread continues. Can the families find a way to get along to get rid of a common threat? Will other criminals associated with the mafia soon ally themselves with this new crew?

REDLINE is a famous modeling agency in NYC, owned by Isabelle Lightwood and Jocelyn Thorne, one that any model would kill to get into. However, the line isn’t as straight as you’d expect. Dusk till Dawn, a high priced escort service finds it’s headquarters. Some models double as escorts here, smiling for more than just the cameras. Be careful who you trust your secrets to because you never know what the consequences might be. But you may also be looking in the wrong place for love. A man named VALENTINE MORGENTSTEN, CEO to THE CIRCLE  fell in love with one of the escorts he hired. When she turned him down, he discovered the Redline’s blurred secret, and has been attempting to shut them down, ever since. Robert Lightwood, who had an affair with one of these models and is a close friend to Valentine, has teamed up with him as well. Though he didn’t break off his relationship, his affair could be outted to his wife if he decides to back out.

From models, to photographers, to escorts, most everybody has a secret. Can they stand up to VALENTINE AND THE CIRCLE? Are you willing to pay the price?

“Well, that would make you vegan, if you cut out dairy too, right? That seems to be pretty popular now, and I don’t understand why. Same as gluten-free. If you’re not a celiac, then I don’t understand the sudden need to cut gluten out of your diet… It just means you need to make up for all those things with replacement pills and it’s just so much effort,” he chuckled softly, fingers falling away from her shoulders as he dipped under the spray momentarily, rinsing off the soap from his own shoulders before beginning work on his body. “I understand the whole not liking the taste thing, I’m the same with some meats, I need to be in the mood for them. And I’m all for people doing something if they have a strong stand against it. But the people that do it just for the fad? Just to feel like they’re fitting in, or to impress someone else… It just makes me question their sanity.” Eyebrow lifting softly, he couldn’t help but release a soft chuckle at her acceptance of a round two to their little competition, lips pursed softly, fully planning on throwing in as much practice as he could before that happened. Then perhaps she would be pleasantly surprised at his commitment to the competition. “I think that’d be a good idea. Preferably somewhere where breakable objects aren’t in the immediate vicinity,” he mused softly.  “I do love a good salad, so I’m going to let you do your thing and surprise me. And if I find it tasty, then you’ll forever have me living in your kitchen. Even if I am a little dubious about your tofu chicken,” he mused with a playful smirk, rinsing off once more before shifting and giving her full access to the spray. “As long as there are tomatoes and peppers, I’ll be happy, to be honest. I’m not really a fussy eater.”

“I do eat dairy and eggs, so yeah--not a vegan, just vegetarian. I’m allergic to most seafood, so I wouldn’t eat that whether I ate meat or not. I just never liked how it looked, or anything. If you’d prefer actual meat, I know how to cook it. I was the only vegetarian in my house, so I kind of had to learn.” Rose gave a shrug, almost hoping Kai didn’t catch her staring. As he stepped away from the spray, she moved in, rinsing herself out with a hum. “I mean, we’d have to go actually GET some chicken, considering I never have it unless I have family or people who won’t eat/don’t like tofu.” Rosette got out of the shower after she was all clean, turning off the spray and water before handing Kai a towel to dry off.

“Oh I love peppers, don’t worry about that. Would you prefer bells, or banana peppers, for a little bit of a kick?” Whether or not he was picky, she was aimed to please. The dancer got dressed soon after, still putting her bra back on anyway before chuckling just slightly. “Yeah, maybe an actual dance studio? I know a really good one that’s out of the company’s building that I go to a lot, just to mess around. It’s not a bad one, either, its’ in a recreation center--but still. I have a season pass for there that covers three guests.”

“Nah, there’s nothing wrong with being different,” he hummed, drawing in a slow breath before letting his gaze flick back to her, hands nursing his drink when it was placed in front of him. “I guess I’m just used to being around dishonest people. So when you find an honest one, you get kinda skeptical, you know?” He hummed, tongue trailing his lips before taking a sip of his drink, chuckling softly. “Do you want the truth or the cover story?” he teased before shaking his head slowly. “Honestly, I’m just out of jail. And work… It’s kinda hard when you’ve got a fresh criminal record. And I guess I’m actually pretty good at the whole dancing thing, and I’m not exactly put off by the escort thing either so…” he shrugged, drawing in a breath, half expecting her to run for the hills now she knew. Not that he could blame her. “I was given a chance here, I plan on making the most of it.”

“...I know how you feel.” She gave a soft smile, gently touching his thigh in comfort as she took a sip of her drink. “I grew up in the projects, where its’ either fight or die, literally. Dancing was my only escape, the true way to forget the hell I grew up in. Even if I make my goals one day, I’d still like to think I’d still dance here part time.” Her family not like it, but oh well. Besides, Rosette never really did like to think she needed their approval, anyway. She gave a little shrug, taking a sip of her drink. “If it makes any sort of difference, you’ve at least got me in this.”

“You’re an ass.” It was times like this when Ro wished she could fully tell a lie. She’d only quirk a brow after her short burst of laughter, full of regret as she plucked up a fry, making a face as she glanced to the perfectly made cookie dough milkshake. How could combining the two be any good? With a sigh, she’d only dunk it in, waiting for the fry to stop dripping before she’d move it from the glass. “Only if we can agree that I’M THE SWEET ONE.”

With that, she gave it a try, shaking her head as she quite LITERALLY forced herself to swallow the bite. “Eugh. No. NO. That’s..NO.”

St. Jericho is a school like no other. An elite private college that takes hell to get into and an application process that seems to scream insanity. It has been around for a long time and it’s beautiful campus is surrounded by woods and an odd lakes. The school has a secret though. Inside it houses hundreds of young and old supernatural creatures, catering to their needs as well as classes on how to protect themselves. The school caters to all supernatural creatures in hopes to make sure the races survive. IT’s been a bit intense lately since the school last year closed early due to hunters getting in and attacking the students. Now that it’s a new year the school has changed, more protection added. Staff has been added that specialize in helping students. The hope is to bring the school to something normal again.
