I just want to say that I will never get over the alma arc.i attempted to buy the volumes once which resulted in me having a mental breakdown at the manga aisle thus my sister had to literally drag me out of the store

Can we please talk about how beautiful the art was in this chapter? I mean, Hoshino-sensei’s art has always been wonderful, but the amount of care and detail she put into the art this chapter has me swooning, especially for Allen the Dog

Allen the Dog has to be one of the most realistically rendered characters in the entire series so far, and while that type of style change would normally take away from the story in other manga, the way Hoshino does it amplifies the story. The delicate linework that alludes texture, the careful shading around the face, and the high contrast in the eyes all emphasize the fact that Allen the Dog is to be cherished and loved, a message that is clearly told through the tender way that Hoshino draws him. We, as readers, are encouraged to feel as in love with Allen the Dog as Allen the Human and Mana are, which also forces us to realize how special and important he was to Allen the Human’s overall character development. I adore the art in the new chapter and I truly believe that it needs far more attention than it has been receiving.
