Hello! I’d like to ask if it’s ok if we make aesthetic edits of the demisexual flag redesign that you did! I’m demisexual and I really like it a lot, and I wanna get into editing so I wanna make a demi flag edit to start, but I wanna know if it’s ok to use yours!

i’m not sure how old this is because i keep forgetting about tumblr i’m sorry !!! but yes yes it’s absolutely okay!

how do you make your flags?? could you do a tutorial??

its a really simple process honestly!!!

  • procure an art program (i use sai, but i imagine mspaint would work) as well as the flag you want to edit
  • open up your program and flag;
  • figure out your palette!
  • unless you got mad color theory and color palette skills, this part wont come super easily, but thats okay! if you need to you can go on a palette generator or pick colors off an image!
  • if you use sai like me make sure your bucket settings look like this!;
Image
  • that way you can make edits on a new layer and everything will be nice and clean and perfect!
  • once you get your colors you just plop em on there and et voila! you can post them or crop it to make icons with or whatever you want! go wild! mwah

hooey i missed a lot huh... to cover some asks ive seen in my inbox: -i completely forgot about this blog in the midst of school and work but im gonna work on being more active! -this blog is acecourse (and general discourse) free. i prefer not to openly state my position on the acecourse because either way ace and aros are incredibly valid and welcome here !! -my flags are always okay to use!! i prefer credit but its not super necessary! i just wanna be able to see what you do with my flags! ok time to work on requests i hope this answers some of your questions!!

Some flags for lesbians who use multiple pronouns, requested by a Discord friend, @tsumuggy and I joined the prideiicons server and they told me to @ them when finished So @prideiicons Order: She/they, he/they, and any pronouns

The white represents nb and trans lesbians as well as comfort The pink represents femmes The orange, butches The black, simplicity

The blues and reddish pink tint of the she/they lesbian flag represent how she is seen as traditionally feminine but how those expectations of traditional womanhood are still subverted by their identities

The reds and blue-ish tint of he/they lesbian represent how he is seen as traditionally masculine but are subverted by their identities

The purples and yellow green-ish tint respresent how using any pronouns is associated with androgynous identities but how the spectrum of identities using any pronouns are varied
