First week on T:
I know I haven't updated here in a long while. I started T and am on the list for top surgery.
Changes so far are minimal. Hot, hungry and horny. My voice is less pitchy by not really lower, just sore throat sort of thing. Outside of that only a little oil on nose.
I only plan to stay on T until I get the changes I want then stop. While I'm still masc Im more on the nonbinary side now.
Axel my Axolotl ended up passing a couple weeks ago. I'm sad but I'm glad he's done suffering. He fought until the last moment. He could no longer eat though no matter how I tried to feed him. Swim free little one, it was a great 6 years.
Just picking brains. Axel is going on 8 years old now and in the last year developed tomours in and around his mouth. They increase and decrease in size periodically but when larger as in the picture greatly impede his ability to eat. I've been doing water changes and by recommendation of a vet surgically removed the ones outside his mouth with great success. My question though if anyone has experienced this what you did to help treat... Or is there a humane way of euthanasia...
I redid Felix's enclosure fully a week ago. She's extreamly happy with the new setup doing a full shed and laid an egg.
I have four fish in my 75 gallon tank. Only two are showing fungus and red streaks, and one of the two had a blood spot right under her fin on her body - they are white orandas, I wonder if my black or orange ranchus have it but I don’t see it because they are darker colors. I have gel food . I combined one level measure KanaPlex with one tbls of gel food, one tbls of water and a few drops of garlic food enhancement. Do I give each fish this dose or break up the one dose between all 4 fish
I'd personally make 1 batch of the gel food and split it between them as to no over medicate any of them.
So I have covid... I do not recommend it. It sucks. I haven't felt this sick since I had H1N1.
Hey all, it's been a long while. I'm not even sure I still have followers. Life has been alright this last year despite covid. I was diagnosed with EDS, I kept my job that I love. I was also able to get into the gender clinic and we're going through the process for top surgery.
I still have my birds Molly and Pixie, though Molly has been ill the last while. Axel is still around though he does have a cancer of sorts causing tomours to grow inside his mouth. Felix is doing great. Snakehead Lucifer is too. We had to put our dog to sleep but have since become joint parents to a chorkie. I'm not sure what else at this point. I figured I'd check in though.
Silly question but on that big post you had about stocking for nano tanks, when you said 6 max of some rasboras. Do they stress out in bigger groups or did you just say that so you don't overstock the tank?
Just so you don't overstock. They're social so they like the groups.

Time Lapse of Plants - Three Days
Tfw you realize that much of Earth’s life moves and communicates on a time scale humans cannot hope to comprehend.
Plants exhibit a lot of behavior we typically associate only with animals, but don’t notice because of the difference in timescales and just how utterly alien plants are compared to ourselves. They communicate, the cooperate, they engage in parental care, and discoveries in the relatively new study of plant cognition seem to indicate that they have some capacity for decision making and learning. Just as we learned that animals are not, in fact, mindless, unfeeling automata we are now learning the same is true of plants.
I wish we could see them waving around and moving though in real time :(
Did the 10g stretch on my conch. One more and I'm at my goal size. It'll be 3-6+months though.
