Dark Cravings: Intruder

Part Two of my Darkiplier fan fiction.

The world was shrouded in blackness inside and outside your home. The only real light was your computer casting a faint glow on your face as you stared deeply enthralled into the entertainment before you. Your body would squirm every few moments from fright. Mark your boyfriend- no Markiplier had uploaded a horror video. Mark somehow seemed.. off as you continued to watch. Maybe it was the way he had edited the video creating small glitches and forgetting to edit out parts where he'd just suddenly go blank with expression. It was unlike him and very eerie. A sudden jump scare coming from the game made you shriek.  Your hands clasped over your mouth to not wake the neighbors. The steady heartbeat you used to have now was pounding in your chest. Horror movies were a piece of cake, but games were a whole nother category you couldn't conquer. Taking a breath you shut the laptop and threw it to the side the couch. The computer clunked, but a low chuckle caught your attention. You turned your head slowly only to meet an outline of who you instantly recognized as your boyfriend. "Mark you scared the crap out of me."  Your voice shook slightly, a bit confused as to why he was here. "I thought you were staying home-" "Quiet." His tone was lower and firmer than normal. Even though he was feet from you, his voice seemed to only be speaking directly into your ear. Goosebumps started covering your skin as you watched him. Mark stepped closer to you, his figure slowly becoming more and more visible. You tensed instantly with every step he took. This man in front of you wasn't Mark. His cheekbones were more defined, his posture having no faults, his scent smelled of red wine and roses, and his eyes held no light in them. Your voice caught in your throat as you stared at this man that resembled your boyfriend. His eyes glistened with a mysterious spark as you opened your mouth. "W-Who.." "It's not of importance right now." In a split second, he grabbed you. The warmth of his hand was shocking as you expected the intruder to be cold and distant. He was almost inviting, like a strange man offering a child some candy. Your body was pushed back onto the couch with little difficulty. A scream escaped your lips as you struggled against him. Kicking and scratching you couldn't get away. Nothing could faze him. He just seemed slightly amused by your fanatics. The man covered your mouth trying to drown out the noise. "I told you to be quiet! You will learn to listen to me! What does... he.." His voice trailed off as he watched you. Silent tears were slipping from your (e/c) eyes. He had brought you to tears. Deep in the back of his own mind, guilt, sadness, fear, and rage started to rise up. All of this was new to him. The struggle. The emotions. He couldn't quite understand what was happening. The aura that he was used to feeding off of, wasn't there. He could feel the darkness that was inside you, but something else was blocking it. Barriers and barriers that were standing in his way. Slowly he released his grip. This might take a more delicate approach to get what he desired. His hand covering your mouth reached up and wiped away the tear. "(Y/n)..." His voice sounded just like Mark's which sickened your stomach. You couldn't understand what he was trying to pull, what he was trying to accomplish. You had to escape. You forced a small smile on your face, scared that your trembling lips would give you away. Slowly you leaned into his hand that was tracing away your tears. The man watched you, a light blush appearing on his face as your body was starting to relax. His delicate approach was working. If he kept it up he could take what he had been dying to fully taste. Turning up his lips he formed a smile back at you. He was the complete opposite of yours. He was confident and clearly happy that things were going his way. Nothing could stop him now, especially since he had been taken care of. You waited, acting as relaxed as you could possibly be. So many times your mind jumped to Mark, trying to find a happy place to calm your heart rate. As you grew calmer so did the intruder. It felt like hours, but only a few seconds ticked by. After a few moments, his full grip on you released to something of a softer touch. You took this chance he was off his guard and you weren't sure when another opportunity would arise, if ever. Gritting your teeth together you pulled your hands away from the intruders and went for his eyes. Both of you let out a scream. His from intense pain, yours from the horrid act you were forced to commit. As the intruder pulled back you rolled off the couch and ran into your room. Your heart was pounding in your chest to the point you could barely hear the intruder quickly composing himself. Running into your room you slammed the door and pushed your dresser over. The glass shattered across the ground leaving different jagged pieces everywhere. You picked up a large piece and held it firmly in your hand. The piece cuts into your hand but the adrenaline dulled the pain. The intruder's footsteps echoed towards the door. "Oh (y/n)~ Darling let's not be brash." His words were coming from outside of your room but you swore you could feel his breath on the back of your neck. Looking around your eyes locked onto your bedroom window. The fire escape wasn't connected to your window, but there was a ledge that could take you to it. A small ledge that would barely fit your feet. Your legs acted before you could reason it out. There was no time to decide what to do. Both would lead to your death. One could be a quick fall with less than a second of pain, and the other could be slow and torturous by a man that resembles the one person you do love. The door banged roughly from the other side shaking the room you were in. It was now or never. Rushing to the window you slid open the window seal and busted out the screen. The cool night air blew against your skin taking your breath away. It was windy. Almost windy enough to make it seem like you'd get whisked away into the clouds. The banging got harder and harder, the door starting to break under the intense pressure. You pulled your body through the window and balanced on the ledge gripping the building the best you could. An intense fear of heights made your head sway but you managed to pull your head together. It was too late to back out now. You chose this fate. Barely raising your foot you slid it across the ledge. Involuntary whimpers emitted from you. "(Y/n)!!" The intruder's hand reached out and grabbed your arm from the window. As you looked to him he tried to pull you back inside. His eyes were bleeding but they looked perfectly intact, and kinder than the ominous gaze you were just forced upon. Using your other hand that was gripping the knife you brought it down upon his hand that was gripping yours. "Let go!" As he pulled back with a shriek, your foot slipped. The safety of the ledge disappeared from underneath you. There was no time to think or feel. Your heart caught in your chest and then everything went black. The intruder watched out of the window in horror and in pain as he saw you slip from the edge. His looks had morphed back into the man you treasured as the sun in your life. Tears could not stop falling. "Look what you did!? You-" His eyes turned black, and a grin came upon his face. "This will all be resolved with time. Just stay back Mark. Trust me." He then disappeared to go and save you. The lover of the human he was ready to dispose of. Mark had always gotten in the way, keeping him locked up and never able to come out even for a moment. He had finally gathered enough strength, and he intended to gain more to replace Mark for good. Lucky for him, you were the key to his success. Torturing you before he disposed of Mark would be closest to heaven he'd ever reach.

Dark Cravings

Darkiplier x Reader

Just some inspiration I've been keeping balled up, and I decided to try posting it on here. This is more of a prologue to test the waters, but no worries I will make a Part 2

Romanticizing the dark is destructive. It gives those a false sense of hope that hidden deep down it can be beautiful. There is nothing beautiful about the dark. It is an absence of light that everyone who is shrouded craves to find the stars and fireflies that give us hope to push on. Most instantly want the sun, but then crash back down as soon as it sets. It is dangerous to romanticize the dark, yet many still do because feeling an absence of everything that makes us human is "beautiful".  You found the sun about eight months back. Someone who lit up the dark around you, and held you close with no intention of ever letting you go. You were scared knowing how this would end, but you clung tightly not wanting to fall back fully into the darkness. You took the risk letting yourself be swept up into the cursed ideology that finding the love of your life would save you from everything that is inside you.

Mark was your sun. He shone so brightly over your life, sometimes the darkness would actually disappear and you could enjoy his warmth that would make your heart feel alive again. Those days were always treasured, but they'd get lost and forgotten in a few moments. Mark was a dangerous sun to cling onto. He made time for you, but going out and even staying home the fan base he had created was overwhelming. There was no you when he was Markiplier. You were just another fan hiding back in the darkness. You tried to fight against it, especially when he would walk back full smiles and giggles, but it was hard and usually left both of your smiles broken until he could find a way to bring you back to the light. It had been getting worse. Mark could tell just by coming back home or walking back into the room. The more you pretended to be happy, the stronger the feeling around you grew. Your darkness wasn't only just affecting you. It was working its way into him. Feeding something inside that had been trying to get out for a very long time. Your dark energy was fuel to this being, and now that it had a taste it craved for more. Just like how those in darkness crave for light, those in light crave darkness.
