How do you think the people who localized Dungeon Meshi as Delicious in Dungeon feel about the fact that everyone fucking hates that name?
It wasn’t the english localizers who did it.
You can see the english subtitle appears on the original cover. It happens often when the publisher wants to impose their own english title to the foreign publishers. Since the english subtitle is often made by non-native speakers that can lead to awkward wording. (I know there are more examples but none comes to mind at the moment.)
#the french title is gloutons & dragons and everyone hates it too#they prioritized the dnd reference like in the english title but im a bit puzzled to why they kept the dragon part and not the dungeon one#when it's the main part of the title in the other languages#oh well at least it's not the english title slapped on by default like is often the case to keep the IP uniform across anime and manga
