theorizing about genshin once again.

the puzzle that is only found in watatsumi island that I found in the chasm made the dots connected for me.

the architecture of every ancient ruins is the same. but especially, the chasm and ekanomiya are so connected! not only architecture. same feeling. thousands years abandoned. same enemies. in there, the Greeks for the lack of actual in game name, lived. and some surfaced in watatsumi, some turned into those slow but sturdy enemies. in the chasm they are especiay talkative.

and they talk like the abyss order founder Mr Albrecht, meaning they hate the Celestia for something that befallen them.

after one of world quests we find the door to khaenriah. very deep underground in the desert. with the same architecture once again.

it was also perplexing to me how ruin machines found way to inazuma. I mean, it's very far away. and there's almost no ruin guards there.

but they also show up in the chasm.

I think khaenriah didn't develop ruin machines from scratch. they continued from their Greek predecessors, who were making the cube ruin machines.

all of the underground wherever it is, is soaked with defilement. and archons, as we found out, during the cataclysm mostly protected citizens from the other world monsters pouring in.

maybe it wasn't Celestia that cursed them. maybe it was the effect of the abyss.

the inverted statue was also in similar ruins. also underground.

I don't know. I don't know how to make it into coherent storyline. but I'm seeing the patterns that before I thought was just lazy game design.

Ngl I wonder if Signora was Arlecchinoā€™s mentor figure when Arle became part of Fatui

Something about Arleā€™s curse flaring up/Signora having to have a delusion to suppress her fire, and both of them being pyro-aligned just. Compelled me to think that Signora looked at Arle and was ā€œoh. I see part of myself in this kid and I want to help her grow strongerā€

Idk I think that Signora might have been a good mentor for Arle. Idk

"Oh Scaramouche should be electro, not anemo! Why would they do that?"

Y'all aren't understanding the symbolism behind it. Electro has been correlated with him through the entirety of him being a puppet. Through Ei, and through the Fatui. Electro has been with him when he has been lost, abandoned, and since he's been a puppet.

With anemo, related to the GOD OF FREEDOM, it's showing that he is now free from the clutches of being a puppet. He's now his own person on his way to create his own path, not one forged by a power hungry military powerhouse. He's free now, no longer chained to the ones that used him.

hoyo found another way to hurt me over la signora...

arlecchino's voiceline is hilarious, la signora was a RICH AUNTIE AUGHH. it's simultaneously pathetically cute and so sad that she was bribing the kids for love. im going to think about la signora at the house of the hearth forever now
