It has been a few months since you’ve started dating Marko and things have been utterly perfect. If you were told a few months back that you would be dating the gremlin that practically tried to fight, and successfully, almost everyone on the boardwalk, you would have laughed in their face and denied the likeliness of that ever happening. You were enthusiastic to agree that you were completely wrong. 

You were leaning against the fence that surrounded your property when you heard the distinct sound of a rumbling engine in the distance heading towards you. You smiled to yourself, adjusting yourself  into a straighter position as the blinding white of the headlight illuminated your driveway. The face of your grinning boyfriend finally appeared as he turned off his motorcycle.

There was no denying that Quil adored you.

Since stumbling upon his imprint in the most awkward of ways (he literally crashed into you at the beach, sending you both tumbling through the sand and right into the water), the boy had been devoted to you in a way that could never be understood.

But it was real and it was yours.

He had a tendency to follow you around like a puppy dog, holding your hand with adoring eyes and a dopey smile. When he could not come along, he’d miss you all the while, thoughts of you filling the pack’s minds much to their annoyance. But today, to your delight, Quil could come along, the pack finally having a moment to breathe. So he’d be tagging along with you to a friend's party. In truth, Quil didn’t know your friends too well and you had been wanting to change that, wishing to show everyone the amazing person you’d fallen in love with.

(Thank you! This was so fun to write, hope you like it anon) He’s always had daydreams about heroism and super powers and since he met you, a lot of them revolve around stopping time, or being everywhere at once, or cloning himself so he can fix everything in the blink of an eye. Comfort you, protect you, get treats or gifts or distractions to cheer you up, solve the problem and deal vigilante justice to whatever, or whoever, made you so upset. The closest he can get is make lists of what hurts and what helps and what he can avoid doing and keep them in the same pocket of his bag that he keeps your favorite snacks, a packet of tissues and some pain pills.

He wants to make the world a better place. Abed isn’t naive, he knows how cruel people can be and how much cruelty even kind people can ignore without offering help, but it’s still almost unbelievable that anyone could have the heart to hurt you. You’re kind, you’re clever, you don’t always want to hear it when he tries to tell you but you work so hard and to his mind you get so little back. You shouldn’t ever have to cry.

He’s learned to keep all this to himself and just be there, active without taking charge. His own reaction can wait. It’s easy to let himself be soft with you and lower his barriers so when you want to be held, he’ll wrap his arms around you and that’s how he’ll protect you. He can listen to you talk through things without ever getting bored because there’s something about you that makes the mundane feel magical. Everything you tell him gets filed in the same place Star Wars trivia would usually go. You tell him that talking to him helps and he takes your word for it now.

It’s difficult to believe that he’s enough if he’s not solving anything or reinventing something or playing a part. That he can make it better, that he can make you happy just by being near you. But he knows you’re one of the few who won’t tell him one thing and secretly mean another so if this is how to rescue you, he’ll be there and leave the rest until you ask for it.

Abed hates to see you cry but he’s learning to put up with it. As long as you know that the mask and the cape are always on the cards and when you ask for it, he’ll be ready to fix everything.

Very good prompt, thank you anon!!! Abed Nadir/Reader Abed shuts down, goes nonverbal and the reader helps him recover. PG-13 Content warnings: ableism, self harming stims, Autism Speaks (implied), reader and Abed are both hornballs (implied) I think I wrote a gender neutral reader, but if I didn’t succeed lmk what I should fix. Same goes for any content warnings I may have missed! -------- You turned heel and ran as soon as you heard Abed scream. There was nothing quite as painful, both sonically and emotionally, as that high pitched, drawn out shriek and you knew it never came until he’d been pushed well beyond his limits. It carried, too, before it trailed off - there was a good distance between your upcoming lecture and the library so by the time you threw open the door to the study room, you were out of breath.

Abed sat on the floor, hugging his knees to his chest and Britta crouched beside him, awkwardly patting his shoulder and waving a hand in front of his face.

When she saw you, she got to her feet to give you room. “I don’t know what happened, I found him like this.”

When Abed gets to know an autistic girl in his class, he decides to put up a fight against the casual ableism at Greendale and make sure you won’t have to go through what he’s gone through. There may be other reasons why he feels so strongly about it, but as long as no one messes with you while he’s around, nothing else matters. Part 2

Abed could remember the very first moment he’d realised it. He’d sat a few rows behind you in class like he always did - it was too difficult to focus if he knew that you could see him - and he’d noticed something about you, something so small he only thought of it at first as an excuse to speak to you. After the lecture, when you were preparing to leave, he’d tapped you on the shoulder and waved you closer so he could whisper in your ear.

“Your t-shirt is on inside out.” You’d leaned out and smiled. “Yes, I’m aware. Thank you.” “It’s intentional?” “Yeah. Seams, you know.”

Abed did know. No wonder he couldn’t get you out of his mind - the two of you were the same. He was too surprised to tell you so then and there, and he worried for a long time afterwards that he’d come across as judgemental.
