I think one of the worst things about being a girl who likes girls is that men always assume you share their male gaze. When I see a pretty girl I’m imagining what it’d be like to hold her hand and kiss her, not hoping a gust of wind blows her skirt up. I don’t plan my outings based on which place has the hottest girls. I don’t find it appropriate to make lewd comments about women. Just because I like girls doesn’t mean I like to disrespect them or prey on them the way you do.

There are 3 bullet holes in my room. One grazed my arm. I am writing this post from the hospital.

I live in an apartment with my mom and my 9 year old sister. Our neighbors are drug dealers and have been terrorizing us since they moved next door. They fought their dogs in our yard. They shot my moms car windows out. They verbally threatened to assault my mom. And tonight, our apartment was caught in their crossfire. About 5 bullets penetrated our apartment, there were a total of about 30-40 gunshots I heard in all. 3 of those bullets entered the apartment right next to my bed, where I was sitting then the gunshots began. If I hadve ducked even 10 seconds later than I did, I would’ve taken 3 bullets to directly to the torso.

We have reported their activities to police three times, and all three times nothing was done. None of the officers even went over to their apartment to ask any questions. They always came in, stayed for a few minutes and listened, then left. I even showed them video evidence of the dogfights they’d have in our yard, which i would insert here but it is too graphic to show and I don’t want my identity out there. and still nothing was done.

We cannot live like this any longer. We need a new home. My mother is an entrepreneur and makes our living solely on ebay. She does well, but we still do not have any money leftover and things are always tight. I don’t have a job, I quit my job to take care of my aging grandmother who lost mobility about three months ago. We need a miracle. I am too afraid to go back to that place. I don’t know what we can do, but money talks and if we can put enough money down, we can get a small rent to own house in a better neighborhood. On top of this, I don’t have health insurance, and the bill for my er visit is looming.

Please. I saw my sister scream “I don’t wanna die” as my arm bled and I held her to try to comfort her as the shots were still firing. I don’t wanna see that again. We cannot stay here and wait for something worse to happen. If there’s any way anyone can help us, even $1, please please please I am begging you, find it in your heart to do so. And even if you can’t or don’t want to, if you’re from the u.s., help us by using your voting power to get these fucking guns off the streets and out of the hands of people like the ones who nearly killed me today.

Cas is Scooby-Doo and Dean would take a bullet for him

Cas is intrinsically linked to Scooby-Doo from the off in 13x16, with both the usual Cas is a dog who think’s he’s people subtext that we are more than used to for years, but also now taking this subtext to text, Dean flat out saying Cas is their Scooby-Doo right at the start of the episode.

They really want us to see this subtext as textual now. OK then. Duly noted.

Then later:

“ … I’d take a bullet for that dog! ”

*Tinks stares into the camera*

This feels anyway like it could totally be a scene about Cas, my first knee jerk reaction was dude you could totally be talking about Cas, lolz, until a second later my brain was like BUT THATS WHAT THEY ARE TELLING US. Textually!

JEEZ. You could replace Scooby-Doo with Cas and it would be totally in character for Dean to say this. But the show literally told us to equate Scooby-Doo to Cas right at the beginning of the episode through Dean’s own mouth so… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wow. It’s not even really subtext anymore. They literally came out and said it. Textually. Dean thinks Cas is his Scooby-Doo and Dean would take a bullet for him.

It’s also huge visual mirror of this scene which, shocker! happens to be about Cas! Ikr, such coincidence!

Dean is pulling pretty much the same face and it is framed in the same way, over Sam’s shoulder (“because over-the-shoulder shots give a real feeling of intimacy and involvement with the story, by virtue of the fact that you are looking at something over somebody’s shoulder. They are beautiful and enhance the audience’s engagement with the film”).

Even if they are not paralleled on purpose because they were written / produced relatively far apart the framing is standard practice to create intimacy into a person’s emotional state.

This is when Dean yelled at Sam that Sam might be able to get over Cas’ death but he can’t. Framing his feelings for Cas as different to Sam’s. For reasons. 

Now we see thanks to the Cas is Scooby-Doo repeatedly emphasised mirror that not only does Dean think Scooby-Doo is awesome, that Dean thinks Cas is his own adorable, funny, super cool totally doesn’t fanboy over him when he lost his memories in 12x11 “whaaaat?!” version of Scooby… 

The show is telling us that Dean is fiercely protective of Cas (duh) and would take a bullet for him.

That’s sweet and everything (if a little Deannnnnnn stawp with the self sacrifice to show love dude, just friggin tell them) and it’s great for Destiel exposition, but also I mean this is Supernatural…
