And I'm realizing now that she has a lot of long quotes, too. Definitely one of my more verbose OC's!

that's tough to say! everything is a trope, so it's kind of hard to narrow down to "a favorite", you know?
one thing i'm a sucker for is an Odd Friendship. two completely different people who shouldn't logically get along, being intensely loyal and fond of each other? it's classic and it's great, and it's practically the foundation of my Of Diamonds And Dust fic!

so many! i always have more ideas than time, which is both a blessing and a curse lol. the main one on my mind lately is Wyll/Karlach- i said i was gonna write something for them ages ago, but as soon as i tried i knew it would be more than just a one-shot, and i want to take the time to write it well!
which means for now it's on the back burner, but hopefully i'm able to focus on it soon!

Piper maintains her instruments and often spends time working on new songs or just dabbling with different tunes. She’s simultaneously doing actual work to take care of her equipment, and also “boosting morale” for the companions that are setting up tents and cooking dinner

like so many, my first fandom i read for was the infamous fandom which nobody talks about anymore, back in my middle school days
writing-wise, it was for critical role! Please, Be Enough was the first fic i ever published, for my beloved Vex'ahlia

it did occur to me after posting that rather than any of my actual oc's, the character i identify with the most might be Aloth Corfiser lol

i really don't vibe with "modern character falls into the fandom universe" fics, which is most commonly called isekai but which i first encountered as MGiT. i still call it that in my head, even in scenarios that do not actually involve Modern Girls in Thedas, because there are just so many of those fics in the Dragon Age fandom and i simply do not get the appeal!

aaah it's like asking me to choose a favorite child!!
honestly, my answer changes all the time- right now, i'd probably say Love & War, because a lot of thought and has gone into it and i love it's turning out and the characters make me lose my mind. they're messy and stubborn and they care so much, and it's been a lot of fun to write those dynamics.
but also, once i get back into my groove for Of Diamonds And Dust, i might say that one, because i've been working on it for years it's become my comfort fic, and the evolving relationships between these very different characters is very compelling to me and i feel like i've learned a lot while writing.
or! i might say any of my fics about Desta or Nona or Piper, because i love my OC's a lot and the way i develop them is by writing them!

i don't know if i have one i identify the most with? most of my OC's have little pieces of me, but none of them are a complete projection, and once they take off in their own direction it's a hard comparison to make!

i read in bursts- i'm browsing constantly, because it gives me something to do when bored, and then when i'm in the mood to actually read i'll sit down and go through all the stuff i saved!
how picky i am depends a lot on my mood, but i'm mostly picky regarding formatting and grammar more than subject matter. if someone's a good enough writer, i'll give most premises a chance! (aside from a few characters or ships i just don't care about, but even those are usually just me being tired of super popular plots or pairings)

G: If you wrote a sequel to Love & War, what would it be about?
Love & War is going to take Cleo and Galfrey through the game timeline, so a sequel would be about what they get up to post-canon. i do have some vague ideas about that- any sequel would probably follow them traveling together as Cleo goes to reunite with her tribe and her family, and would focus on them adjusting to their new lives as they leave Crusade behind.
Even after their happy ending, they're both messy people who went through a lot, so their would be a lot of working through that emotional fallout, learning to fit into a new day-to-day lifestyle, and some family reunion shenanigans (i don't have many specifics, but i know Cleo gets to be a Cool Aunt to her cousin's kids!)
No promises about any of that actually being written just yet, but that's what i imagine!

Ha, it tends to be the opposite, but that's more to do with fandom size! For a long time my fic with the most hits was Beautiful Things, my Mass Effect: Andromeda fic, which is a bunch of one-shots about my ryder's playthrough...and it's fine! it was fun to write. but it's kind of older now, and i definitely think i've improved since then, and looking back it just feels a little bland compared to some of my other stuff? but i was writing right as the game came out, and for ages it was my most popular thing stat-wise
Now my BG3 fic Midnight Black and Paris Green has blown it out of the water, and again- it's a fandom size thing, it's getting those numbers because it's BG3. As much fun as I'm having with it, there are lots of other fics that only a handful of people care about which I think are much better!
