RACISM - WHAT CAN YOU DO? 🤔 . . How are you using your platform to help impact change is what I was asking myself today before creating this post! Simply posting to bring awareness is not enough but it’s a small step. If you are a white person and consider yourself an ally make sure you’re doing your part to help end racism and injustice(not sure if it’ll ever end and that’s not being pessimistic it’s being realistic) 🤷🏿‍♀️ THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP EASE RACISM. 1. SPEAK OUT About race in racism to your family members and communities and call them out when they are being racist. 🗣 2. EDUCATE YOURSELF about white supremacy and racism etc.✍🏿👩‍💻 3. TALK TO YOUR KIDS about racism and white supremacy and educate them as well.👶🏾 4. LISTEN TO BLACK PEOPLE and engage in meaningful discussions.👂🏿 5. VOTE in alignment of being anti racist.🗳 6. MONEY TALKS so Venmo or PayPal your black friends some money for self care because racism takes a mental and psychological trauma on us. Or donate to organizations that are helping fight to racism. Happy Humpday Tribe!! 👋🏿 . . Besides knowing how to braid my own hair, sewing my own clothes is another one of my many super powers. Fun fact! I make 80 % of my own clothes, some of that percentage is thrift flips. This is a story about a red hat. 🎩❤️ . 1. Once upon a time not too long ago I made a giant hat. I wanted it to be big enough to cover my whole body and I was happy with the turn out. 😁 2. I got all dressed up in my red lady suit and took the hat out for a spin and found the perfect red wall to match.🌹 3. I wanted to see how the hat would look with a white suit. Didn’t like that so much so..😂 4. I got bored with it and turned my ginormous red hat into a heart shaped hat. ❤️ 5. Most of the time it just hangs on my walol at home.🏡 6. But every once in a while I take with me to the city as prop for photos especially on Valentine’s Day and when I do I always get questions and compliments on the street about it.
