It's important to drink a lot of fluids when you're sick so that your body has the raw materials to generate gallons of snot.

I learned recently that mucus basically traps the viruses and expels them from your body which is why your body makes SO MUCH of it so now I just imagine drinking liquids as hiring a bunch of goons to take out the thrash y'see nyeehh see we taking back the streets from the bowler hat boys flush em out real good

because the cutscene where more darkspawn arrive is kind of awkward it makes more sense to me that the severe injuries alistair and the warden get are from the ogre fight. i think it adds more drama to seeing each other whole again. it really emphasises flemeth’s power for one thing

or like from the tower in general as you climb. maybe you know by the time you’re halfway up that you’re not getting back down

i think i mentioned this before but i once had alistair get an injury to the eye while climbing the tower and i’ve always been really struck by it. alistair and the warden collapsed by the lit beacon, alistair’s eye is a goner, the warden knows the ogre broke something inside of them and that it hurts to breathe, somehow they’re so dizzy from the fight they’re both joking about it. alistair’s saying “i’ll look rugged and charming with an eyepatch, won’t i?” and the warden’s laughing despite the pain, they’re saying “oh i’m sure it’s not that bad”, knowing full well it’s unsalvageable, knowing nobody’s coming to save them anyway, that more darkspawn are climbing from below. and alistair thinks it’s okay because whatever happens they lit the beacon... only to wake up in a hut in the wilds and find he didn’t save anyone at all. but the warden steps out of that hut and sees alistair’s face, whole like it was never touched. in the middle of all this blood and death, it feels beyond any magic you’ve heard of; it feels like a miracle
