The Sherlolly bunch…. 🥹 You guys. I am floored by your enthusiasm and excitement. You made my year. I’m so so happy to be a part of this community. Thank you so so so much. My heart is bursting.

This will take time because life LOL. That ol’ chestnut. But I have a rough sketch in my head of what it’s going to ultimately look and feel like. I picked the music today, which I LOVE and wanted to use for years. I’m not gonna reveal which track but it is taken from A Discovery of Witches. A show which had our Queen in it: Louise Brealey. Things can always change but I’m quite determined to use it.

I can’t give you an estimate publication date but I’m very excited about this. I’m so glad you are, too. You’re just the best. 😘💋

My video has just reached 800 likes 😍😍😍 I’m so pleased and chuffed and grateful. The show has been over for years but the love for it and Sherlolly does not falter. Thank you so much for the kindness and support. I cannot express enough how important to me it is. I’ll edit about them again one day. I love them too much to let them go.

Sherlolly is alive and well! My Losing video has had more success in the last month alone than the other three edits of other fanfoms I made in the last two years (I really need to edit more LOL). It's lovely to see! People love them still, and I suspect new fans discover them as well, now than the show can be watched in full. Their appeal remains strong, and it's no wonder. There isn't another ship quite like it <3

Just in case you guys have missed this beautiful edit. I'm in love with you it. OP you are a genius.

😭 I’ll be honest. This post made me tear up. The comments and likes and reblogs. I needed this. I feel very guilty about not being able to upload something new regularly. I have multiple projects in the pipeline and very few will see the light of day. Editing is hella hard! I consider it an art form, without question. It takes a tremendous amount of time to produce something which is often under 5 minutes long. Because my work is very much reliant on gut instinct and emotions, as well as wanting it to be a fully fledged, understandable story, it’s rare for the stars to align and for me to get it “right”. Yet it feels like everyone else publishes lots of high quality stuff all the time. It’s a dumb thing to compare oneself to others but unfortunately that inner voice can be hard to shut down.

Also, the YouTube algorithm makes it difficult for videos made purely for creative purposes to be seen. I now get a fraction of views and feedback compared to what I used to have over 10 years ago when I first started. Demonetised videos are effectively buried and harder for people to find unless they specifically search for particular ships and/or fandoms. There is also the undeniable fact that I edit about things that have ended a while ago. Understandably, the interest fizzles out. And often the subject of my work is niche to begin with! 😂 Not something I can do anything about. I don’t get to choose, really. I can’t just pick the trendiest show of the moment and do something with it. Not when my creativity relies on a very fickle fuel as mentioned above. S’not up to me. I either feel it and edit about it or don’t. And I often don’t.

I am rambling. All I wanted to say is that this is a very sweet and kind reminder that even if what I did was posted long ago, it can still resonate with people. Just because I don’t upload something new every other day doesn’t diminish what I did back then.

Sometimes my old work crosses someone’s path and, not only that, they also take the time to express their appreciation. That’s a gift I never take for granted and it brings me an immeasurable amount of joy. All the more because people often don’t bother commenting on something published years ago because they don’t think the creator will care. I can assure you, they do. All of them. Thank you @clevercloudpoetry. It means the world to me. And I cannot thank the Sherlolly community enough for always showing support and kindness. Truly the most wonderful people.
