Hey,
I'm Seye Isikalu, I'm a London based Photographer & Film-maker currently raising money to finish my project SKINNY JEANS; a film that through narrative, interviews & poetry, explores & celebrates the black male experience across the spectrum of black masculinity & the beauty in its freeness.  The film will follow the ways in which black men engage each other/how the world engages us, and how this affects us as a community. SKINNY JEANS is my attempt at creating something I feel that I needed to see as a young black man transitioning into adolescence.
In February I released a scene from SKINNY JEANS called 'Monochrome' ; commentary on intimacy between black men, and I was overwhelmed by the positive response it received across social media platforms as well as recognition from publications such as FADER ,  Dazed , HUCK & NOWNESS. The response was amazing, however, I still need to finish the film and this where you can help. Once completed, I plan to screen SKINNY JEANS as part of an exhibition which i'll be opening up to other young artists producing art that provides a broader perspective of black masculinity. I'm setting up this fundraiser to be able to cover expenses such as  equipment hire, location hire, photo printing, & paying the creative team involved to bring you the best quality outcome. I'd be so grateful if you could help by donating anything you can to make this a success, Thank you! Seye Isikalu.
