percy has so much casual trust in poseidon and i dont think he even realizes it

like. its just so casual and natural that you barely even notice

imagine everyones the argo 2 and are like ‘so should we fly?’ and they all turn to jason whos like: idk if my dad will like if we fly, especially either nico (son of hades) and percy (son of poseidon), so percy, would we be able to go on the ocean? and percys: oh yea my dad wont let anything happen, he doesnt really mind that jason (son of jupiter) and nico (son of hades) are here, when i sailed with annabeth (daughter of athena) he didnt try to hurt her or anything, so yea we’ll be good

and everyone else is just. flabbergasted about how casually percy puts like. full trust into his father, without a second (maybe even first) thought

then they meet poseidon after the war (and after he talks to and helps percy) and they realize why

cuz hes just. so much more chill than they thought hed be. like he doesnt even blink at percy and nicos friendship and is even like ‘so you tell are getting along better now? thats great and brilliant keep up the good work (i love you two), and with annabeth he pats her on the back: annabeth, dear! you did great on your quest, youre (bitch ass) mother hasnt said anything about it, but i have a good feeling shes proud (i am too. i love you). and with the rest of the seven he just. doesnt give a shit /pos. like: yea ik you kinda left my son to fall in tartarus and i am still kinda pissed about that- but hey you seem like you all get along fairly well so who gives a shit (he does. so much)

and the rest of the seven are like. hey. hey percy. do you. do you realize how much your father cares about you.? and percy, with the shittiest self esteem ever is like: well yea he does, a bit. but i dont think its that much

meanwhile poseidon is so close to adopting all of percys friends (thalia nico and annabeth mostly) with shitass parental issues and trauma bc if percy cares and loves for them, then if sally taught him anything, he can too dammit

i have this hilarious headcanon of a storm hitting manhattan. and not even the borders of camp half-blood can protect the demigods from the damage. so while all of the campers are ducked away in their cabins until it passes. percy "son of the stormbringer" jackson is the only mf out and frolicking through the fields like he's rented out the property. half-bloods watching from the safety of their cabin as this man is shimmy-ing across the way. sitting proudly at his table in the dining hall and munching on his pancakes lmao

just now connected that all of camp half-blood watched percy turn down immortality for annabeth. in front of the twelve olympians. mind you. no wonder they were waiting in the wings for them. they knew the kiss was only an hour away lol

Nico's like Percy's adopted little brother and I love that so much. He's Percy's little emo Italian street rat that he claimed as his own. Percy takes care of Nico the same way Grover took care of him I'm in shambles

my favourite thing about sally jackson is how she's stayed such a romantic her whole life despite what she's gone through and nobody talks about it. she sacrificed her years of school so that she could take care of her dying uncle. she was deserted by poseidon after having his kid. she sacrificed the next few decade or so of her life taking care of percy and was repeatedly abused and put down by gabe, all while struggling to become educated, even though gabe disapproved of it. majority of her life was wasted away for the sake of other men. but she put in the work, went to college and became an author who writes romance books. she supports and roots for percy and annabeth's love and is not strict on them at all. she started a new family. she reclaimed the part of her that was a dreamer and was young to pursue her dreams, even at an age where moms are usually expected to retire.

annabeth: guess what your son did today at school?

percy: my son? uh oh, that never means anything good

annabeth: your son poured a blue colored chemical in all the beakers in his honors chemistry class today, just because it was blue. and since he didn’t know what it was, it ended up causing a toxic gas to build up and the entire school had to evacuate. he has now been moved to regular chemistry, because he is not trusted to handle chemicals and labs anymore

One thing I find really exhausting about being transmasc is how often people just sort of like. Assume we dont experience something regarding transphobia, like, collectively, none of us do? That somehow the world treats every transmasc with love and care and respect.

Like recently saw someone talk about how nonbinary transfems have to be really feminine to have the transfem part respected, their pronouns respected, instead of being treated as "basically a cis guy". I was all on board and excited to see someone talk about this phenomenon until it had the added attitude towards the end of "this is a transfem issue specifically. People only do this to transfems"

I typed out a paragraph right here showing examples of this happening to transmascs as well including irl experience of this shit from fucking last month but you know what? Fuck that. If you really wanna act like this doesnt exist then either you dont interact with any transmascs, in which case you're not gonna see this anyways. And if you do interact with us you've most likely seen plenty of examples of this and just chosen to ignore it, in which case me listing some more of this shit wouldnt change that anyways.

there's not enough casual knotting in wolfstar like it doesn't have to be full a/b/o but Remus Lupin is a werewolf and I think that is something that should be utilized as more than just a depressing plot device 

Paul uses one of those razor blade subscription services and, since it's cheap, sends Percy at New Rome University a spare pack every time he gets a delivery. Percy keeps a MUCH cleaner shave than Paul does, who kind of keeps it scruffy. Unfortunately, one time, there's a shipping error as Paul's package is lost in the mail, so nobody gets razors.

Percy doesn't consider it much initially, but as days go by without a shave, he starts to build up stubble - something incredibly uncommon for him. People turn their heads and tease him a bit until the stubble grows into a shadow, grows into a beard.

Suddenly, nobody teases Percy. They give him a wide berth, and on more than one occasion, a younger New Roman called him "Sir" reverently. Now, when Percy delivers some Classic Snark during a lecture or between classes, it's not met with snickers and eye-rolls. It feels scathing in a way it never had before. Now things that Percy pokes fun at are corrected, and people nod along to his comments as though they were suggestions - no, expectations.

Sure enough, people relax a bit when some new razor cartridges come in, and Percy shaves again, and things go back to normal. Percy isn't sure why people acted odd for a week or two there. Then Annabeth, who (tactfully) avoided kissing him for that duration, points out, "You look a lot like your dad."

I just made this and figured I should share it with the world, not just one discord server.
