The Lothario Family decided it was time to move from an apartment to a new house! The furnishings are sparse but there is room to grow. Little Davin is growing fast and he’s such a little charmer!
Don’s birthday! He has become an official adult. He’s a faithful husband, father, a Minor Leaguer in the Professional Athlete Career Branch. Who would have thought? One thing hasn’t changed, though... his favorite pass time.
*Note* Don no longer has the Serial Romantic Aspiration. He now has the Soul Mate Aspiration and his Non-committal trait has been change to Bro. Because we all change, right?
Back with the Lothario family, who are now the proud parents of Davin Lothario. Don never knew he was capable of loving someone so much and he has another level of respect for his amazing wife, Lyla.
Don starts the day running, working on his honey do’s and then spends some time admiring the life growing inside of Lyla. He finds himself being excited by much more important things these days. The life he had before Lyla gave him a form of happiness but the life he has with her makes his soul happy.
Date Night for these two love birds.
Don and Lyla’s honeymoon was quite eventful:
Introducing Don and Lyla Lothario
Don: This is going to come as a surprise to you?
Lyla: What’s that?
Don: The thing is... I’ve never wanted to be married but since I’ve met you I’ve been thinking that growing old would be so much more fulfilling with someone by my side. I used to think marriage was a trap but now I realize, it’s having a witness to your life. How can I carry on a Legacy without someone to create it with? There’s no one I want to share my life with more than you. So... Lyla, will you marry me?
Lyla: Of course! Are you sure?!
Don: (laughing) Absolutely, I am!
Don has traded his old traits for new. Before he had the Serial Romantic Aspiration with the Alluring Trait, Romantic, Noncommittal, and Active. Now he has the Soulmate Aspiration still with the Alluring Trait, Bro, Romantic and Active. He is in the Athletic Career. Lyla has the Successful Lineage Aspiration with the Domestic Trait, Cheerful, Creative and Family Oriented. She is in the Painting Career.
Don discovered in the following days (which in the Sims world equates to weeks or months) that if anyone is worth settling down for, it is Lyla. For the first time in his life, he could see a future with Lyla and the thought didn’t scare him. Maybe he was changing. Maybe it was time to put his non-committal ways behind him. First he asked her to be his girlfriend and then he did something really crazy... He gave her the key to his place!
I think it’s safe to say their first date went well. Not only is a lunch date uncharacteristic of Don, since an invitation to spend the night is not likely, he also calls to Lyla as they are parting ways:
Don: So, how about we see each other tomorrow night?
Lyla: (teasing) Hmmm... Don Lothario asking for a second date? I sure hope you’re not getting attached. (winks) I’ll see you tomorrow night.
They both walk their separate ways with excitement for the next day. Don may have met his match.
After his jog, Don sits down next to a woman that is sitting on the fountain and looks like she may have just finished a jog herself. He looks at her and starts to use one of his famous pick-up lines on her but then stops himself when she looks at him with a cheerful smile.
??: Nice night for a jog.
Don: Yeah, it is. This looks like a nice place to cool down.
??: Well, it could be cooler if we hopped in.
Don laughs nervously
Don: Uh, yeah.
??: I’m up for it! How about you?!
She jumps in and Don reluctantly follows.
Don: Who are you?
??: I’m Lyla... Who are you?
Don: I’m Don Lothario.
Lyla: Hmm... I’ve heard that name before but you know what... I’m not one to judge a person based on what people say about them. So, it’s nice to meet you Don Lothario!
Don: Well, thank you for that... how about we do some stargazing while we dry off. I hear its a great way to make a new friend.
Lyla: Sounds like a good idea!
Don and Lyla talk for hours and end the night with a hug and the promise of a date in the days to come.
Don thinks: What just happened?
And so it begins...
This is where I will be sharing Taming Lothario, the legacy of Don Lothario, the legend himself. Where my story begins, Don is quite pleased with himself and looking for his next conquest when he meets Lyla. Something about her sweet nature and innocence captures his heart. And so the true Legacy begins.
You will see with this blog that first of all I’m a newbie. There’s nothing fancy here and I’m not even sure if it will be interesting but it’s mostly for me. I take a crazy amount of screenshots and never do anything with them. So, this is a more organized way of telling the story I’m playing out in my game. I also, don’t use a lot of custom content so it is somewhat vanilla.
Second of all, I named this blog Simshine and Rainbows because I like to keep things bright and positive. I’m going for the Sims version of the Hallmark Channel. Happy beginnings and happy endings with only a little heartbreak in between. There is way too much brokenness in the world for me to escape into my own created world and make my sim’s lives broken.
So that’s a little introduction to what’s to come. I hope someone out there gets some enjoyment out of what I post here but if not I’m having fun and letting out a little creativity and that’s good for my soul.
