it’s so crucial to me in this that the bit is very much that he is absolutely Not Helping. He’s here to be decorative, goth, and drink wine. He still wanders off for his own things but he's got nothing better to do so he’s chilling with some rookies and only fighting people in the strawhat fights when they are directly attacking him or in his way.

The WG has never been more stressed out.

Every day Zoro tries to kill him.

My adaptation of the God of Arepo short story, which was originally up at ShortBox Comics Fair for charity. You can get a copy of the DRM-free ebook here for free - and I'd encourage you to donate to Mighty Writers or The Ministry of Stories in exchange.

Again it's an honour to be drawing one of my favourite short stories ever. Thank you so much for the original authors for creating this story; and for everyone who bought a copy and donated to the above non-profits.

Reblog if you’re 30 or older

This is an experiment to see if there really are as few of us as people think. You can also use this to freak out your followers who think you’re 25 or something. Yay!

TV Executives: “if the strike goes in, you won’t get new episodes of your favorite shows! You won’t get new movies you were looking forward to! Isn’t that terrible, what the writers are doing to you?”

Me: Bitch, that might have been an effective threat in 2007, but we have since survived a Covid shutdown and discovered ways to amuse ourselves while we waited, we can outwait this shit, too. I got a pile of shows saved I haven’t even watched yet, and a Mt. TBR waiting for me.

Compensate (and respect) your writers for their work, assholes.

It's just hilarious that they're trying to pull this whole "but your favorite shows!" nonsense.

Oh, you mean the shows you cancel after the third season no matter how good they're doing to avoid paying writers residuals? The shows that get produced and then never aired because you found a nice tax writeoff? The shows whose writing suffers because the writers' room got six weeks to write before getting booted and making the showrunner adapt all their scripts? The shows you straight up pulled from your streaming service to scam their crews out of rewatch money?

I will happily sacrifice my shows for the writers that gave them to me, no questions needed, but if anyone tries to say that the blatantly terrible way streaming treats its writers is somehow beneficial to shows, remind them of Infinity Train and Batgirl. That's the ideal they're pushing towards if someone doesn't say no, and we should be thankful that the writers are doing that for us.

Kind of hard to believe there was once a time where a legitimate genre of post was "my mom says if this gets 2k notes she'll buy me a doughnut" and everyone would just. go ham

I vote we revive this shit.

Y’all, if this post gets 2k notes I’ll buy my own damned self a doughnut.

Y’know what? Yes. If this hits 24k by the time I wake up on 21 June 2023, I’ll get myself a dozen. And a big ol’ coffee to go with them.

A bountiful toad crop

This is now one of those "reblog the miscellaneous animal for luck with this that or another thing" posts for me 😂

I reblogged this on my other account with a tag about how I hope my toad crop is bountiful too as I'd not seen any yet this year. But then the other day I came outside to have breakfast to find a toad just basking in the sun outside my door!

Not a safe spot really considering that's in the direct path of Oy bounding out the door, so I scooped the little guy up (with my gloves on cause I was about to eat and didn't want to have to go back inside and wash my hands cause I'm laaaaazy 🤣)

Tried to move him over by the ferns, but apparently, he wanted nothing to do with that and wouldn't hop off my hand. So we settled on a log behind the shed.

Except after setting him down and going back to the deck to eat, I watched him rotate around, hop down a bit from the log slab, then yeet himself I to my lavender. Apparently I picked a bad spot 😅

Or maybe not, because after I was finished and going to head back inside, I went over to see if he'd happened to stick around. In fact he did! For I think it's been 4 days now? He'd nestled himself into the dirt and mulch under the lavender. I'd expected him to move along later that day but even after 3 more days he's still nestled in the dirt there. I admit, I've lightly poked him a couple times because he didn't leave, and I worried he might have died but nope, still good!

I haven't been outside to check my garden yet today, but we'll see if he's still there later!

Also, where do toads lay eggs..? cause I'm now thinking maybe he's not a he and might be a she and she might be laying eggs? I should look that up 🤣

A bounty of toads for us all
