“You’re nothing like him,” he assured him, head resting on his chest. Although he didn’t know how much weight those words would hold for him. He knew what it was like to look in the mirror and be afraid that the person staring back at you was your own father.
He wasn’t sure if he’d meant for the words to come out but now that they were, he felt lighter, calmer. Lips pressed a kiss to Len’s head, trying to silently convey how much that reassurance meant. “I worry sometimes.” When his temper got the best of him, he worried in the back of his mind if he was turning into his father, if that was how Len would see him, it he was going to treat Lisa the same way his father treated him.

He was sure to make some noise as he approached, not wanting to startle her by appearing suddenly, “Hey, kid.” As soon as he was close enough, he pressed a kiss to Levi’s forehead, offering a smile when he pulled back some. “You wanna help me bake some cookies for your old man?” He wouldn’t be offended if she was too busy but he was always willing to spend some time with her.

Mick didn’t hesitate to pull Len into a kiss, not caring that the others were around. If they hadn’t already figured out that this was what was between them, that was their problem. One hand came up craddle Len's neck as the other settle at his waist. Fingers dug in gently, like he needed reassurance that this was real, that he was actually back, like he really could reach out and hold Len the way he's wanted to since before this Occulus had exploded.

“Got no reason to try to scare him right now, do I?” And he wouldn’t. Not unless Booker did something that hurt Lisa to the point she wanted him to do something. He was protective of her and that wouldn’t change, no matter how old they both got. “Freak him out? Nah, maybe unsettle him.” From what he had seen, the other man didn’t seem to scare easily.

“Just looking into possibilities for the next heist, as usual,” he said, leaning back slightly against him, “I think we need to do something new, something that will really get people talking.” He didn’t want to fall into a rut, he wanted to keep everyone on their toes.
"Figured." Hands settled at Len's waist, the touch just firm enough to make sure they were both steady. "What d'ya have in mind?" He wasn't against upping their game in their jobs, given how much more it would take to stand out against this new wave of criminals with powers who could get attention without trying hard.
