💔Got a question from @puppet2041 on catnap’s red smoke and how it’s used, so I figured Id make a small thread explaining how the red smoke works for my catnap 💔 . .

So I made a quick height chart for catnaps various forms to first show how big he can get. Catnap has 3 forms, his true form, his defense form, and his attack form (skeleton cat) that he used depending on the severity of the situation, or his overall mood.

With Catnap’s true form, he uses 10% of his red smoke for helping the children sleep. His smoke won’t cause nightmares and leaves the children in a deep sleep for 4-9 hours, so he uses it only when he’s sure they won’Catnap can also use his red smoke on the other

Smiling Critters, though it’s very rarely done.t need to move around for long periods of time.

When Catnap has to defend himself or others he used 50% of his red smoke to distort the view of any enemies, making him appear much larger than he actually is to scare off any dangerous toys. This form causes severe nightmares so he has to be careful…

When Catnap feels an intense need to attack he will use 100% of his red smoke ONLY if the children and other Smiling Critters are NOT present as his red smoke at this stage has the ability to severely decrease the mental health and induce life-altering hallucinations that cause

during the Super Bowl, while Americans were distracted, Israel launched heavy bombardment on Rafah, where well over 1 million Palestinians are sheltering. Rafah is the furthest south you can go in Gaza, where Israel promised time and time again Palestinians would be safe while they bombed the evacuation routes. there are talks of a ground invasion. they told them to evacuate. there is nowhere for them to go.

right now it is vital that we do not look away. boost everything you see coming out of Gaza. keep an eye on updates from trusted sources and spread them where you can. take breaks if you have to but please. please i am begging you, do not look away.

The passing of Matthew Perry is genuinely hitting hard. He portrayed the hell out of a character that I adored for many years of my life. A character that was hilarious yet insecure, confident yet awkward, a character that never failed to put a smile on my face. 'Friends' has been watched hundreds of times at this point and now it won't hit quite the same. Matthew, like all of us, had his struggles and I can only hope that he is at peace.😔

my grandfather ran a cheetah sanctuary in south africa and he’d just lie with them and sleep among them and they’d rub against him and chirp at him they’re big fucking babies

Another Fun Fact: Cheetahs are incredibly nervous animals. One of the (many) reason’s they’re going extinct is that cheetahs are so sensitive and nervous, some of them are literally too nervous to breed. Others will breed, but stress themselves out so much, they’ll lose their cubs. So zoos with breeding programs had to figure out how to make cheetahs comfortable enough to first of all, get laid and secondly - not spazz themselves into miscarrying. So what’d they do? They gave the cheetah’s their very own Service Dogs! The dogs make them feel safe, protected and secure!

Also! Cheetahs are not in fact classified as big cats, they are simply very large lesser cats, due to the fact that they purr, meow, chirp, and cannot roar. Also many cheetahs have learned to recognize wildlife photographers are friends and not foes, so they will just come up to people and be friendly occasionally as pictured at the top of the chain. Some will even leave their Cubs with photographers to look after while they hunt. So. Yeah. Cheetahs are great

this works because cheetahs are actually fairly social animals, and they look to members of their group for context on how worried they should be about any given Situation. but since cheetahs are also nervous social animals, they can work each other into an anxiety spiral pretty easily over things like “being in an enclosed habitat” and “there’s a guy over there”.

so by introducing a dog as a member of the group, the cheetahs will now look to the dog for context clues on how worried they should be! and the dog Is Not Worried At All, Thanks, so the cheetahs think everything must be chill even if they were personally unsure about it, and they stop being so freaked out about literally everything.

So I’ve noticed that in this fandom it’s common to include Deaf/ASL-using-characters into stories, which is honestly AMAZING and makes me SO HAPPY TO SEE, but many of us aren’t deaf we rely on resources, therefore:

My ASL teacher gave us this website cause it’s updates constantly (ASL evolves lots) and it’s a lot more accurate and reliable than just google :))

To work it- type the word, and a word bank will pull up, click on the term u want and a video/description of the sign and word will appear!!!

It’s rlly simple and has most words and if it doesn’t it’s bc it’s finger spelled probs!!!!

If u want more in-depth good grammar, search up “five parameters ASL”, “glossing in ASL” and watch a few videos to see “how sentence structure differs in ASL”

As always, remember it’s ok to make mistakes/notice a mistake, just be mindful and kind :D most of us aren’t out for malice and if someone is it’ll probs be very obv 😭
