Send my muse a fear you see them having, and they will rate it from 0-10 depending on how much it frightens them.

0 being “I’m not scared of that at all” to 10 being “NOPE NOPE NOPE”

House Davington: A Call to Serve

image

House Davington seeks those of sound mind and body to fill its various ranks.

Looking for a safe place for magical studies? Maybe an outlet for “practice?” Then pay a visit to our reliquary tower where you can learn with the best we have to offer. And don’t worry, with Lady Faeliner about, one thing you’re not going to be is bored.

Are you good with a sword? Do you feel a sense of duty, perhaps a calling to protect others? Then come pay Ser Tallock a visit at the guard command center. Visit our training ground, and see if you have what it takes to join our Raven Guard.

Perhaps you’re looking for something different. Someone to peddle your wares to lands you’ve only dreamed of seeing. Contact the Countess Minandra to set up your trade negotiations today!

Maybe you’re not looking to trade, but to see some of these lands for yourself. Send in your applications today! There’s bound to be a spot on one of our ships for you!

Please send all inquiries to New Ravengarde in the Blasted Lands or visit our lands today!

(House Davington is coming back after a long hiatus and we are looking for people to fill the listed ranks above as well as a few others. Don’t be shy, we’d love to have new members. At the moment, we are a bit of a casual RP guild, but it is my hope that we can build back the community that we once were.

It is important to us that we be able to mesh well with people IC as well as OOC, so please contact us with any questions or concerns you have, and we’ll be glad to answer or address them for you.

House Davington’s base of operations is found at Nethergarde in Blasted Lands (old phasing, OOC representation for New Ravengarde).

Write or whisper Minandra or Tallock in-game.

“The Felhound should not be confused with the Felstalker. I feel like too many aspiring warlocks confuse the two and become severely disappointed  when their summoned beast is small and mangled. Felhounds have two very distinct qualities that separate them from their lesser cousins. The first is their physicality. Large, robust and muscular, quadrupedal abominations that have hooves instead of what we would normally call feet. The second is their defining quality. Tentacle like appendages that can feed on the life force of others at the beasts will. I prefer to avoid these demons if at all possible, they are the worst enemy for anyone who delves into magic. These tentacles are the vacuum which takes everything we are, as magical beings.”

“Felhounds are living, breathing nightmares. I have used their kind on occasion and always felt the need to head somewhere peaceful and quiet to rip the horrifying image from my mind. Felhounds don’t only drink at our magical energy, but our very life essence once we are thoroughly drained. Their victims become nothing but husks or flesh and bone. Terrifying, truly. These demons, if tamed, can be a warlock’s greatest ally. To actually tame one however, you will need severe precautions.”

“This is where I introduce catalysts. A catalyst is an object, or weapon that has been empowered with the souls of your choice. It pains me to say it but the more ‘innocent’ a soul – a child, virgin, docile beast – the stronger the catalyst. On the other end of that spectrum, you may also wish to empower your catalyst with demon souls as they are immortal after all. With these catalysts you will need the proper summoning circle as well. It needs to be able to trap the felhound and contain its magic. Be sure to place at least two layers of protection in your runic circle. The circle should be made large as to give the beast a space to roam while also giving you distance from it. Remain outside the circle and under no circumstance should you step inside until the binding ritual is complete. I have heard of a great many warlocks who fell for a feign of submission by the Felhound. These creatures are crafty, and if agitated can break through the protective layers with a surge of bloodlust and strength. Should the Felhound break through, do not be afraid to destroy it and try again. Felhounds are nearly as abundant as imps, and vary in size only by the amount of magic they consume. Be wary when you allow a Felhound to feed. They will grow in size and can replicate. I am unsure if the replicants share a servitude to the master/mistress but if they do not, be sure to exercise deadly force to destroy it before it consumes you. Felhounds also have an uncanny ability to purge magic from another body. This includes plagues, curses, poisons, hexes, and even magical. Be it positive or negative to the body, it can consume it and use such for its own purposes. Just the same, a good Felhound can cleanse your own body, should you find yourself afflicted. I suggest gaining a Felhound to add to your demonic arsenal. Who knows, perhaps it may grow so large you could ride it.”

“While this author has a superb understanding of Felhound characteristics and summoning methodology, so much so that it might even match my own, to call Felstalkers ‘lesser’ cousins is absurd. Their taller build and more vertical positioning of their legs offer increased speed for running down their prey. And as their often found working in pairs or small packs suggests a greater ability for cooperative coordination among the species. There have even been plenty of witness accounts of imps riding on their backs to further express their ability to be utilized in a much more controlled method with other demons. Perhaps even be ridden by summoners, should one be found large enough for such. In closing, while I whole-heartedly agree with the authors explanation of the species of Felhounds and the practices involved around their summoning, I would urge all summoners understand that no demon is ‘lesser’ to another. Each demonic species is a powerful creature that excels in exactly what it is meant to do. To think otherwise is what causes amateur warlocks to find an early grave.”

Reblog this post if you ARE okay with other muses commenting on your Asks/ Shenanigans /Posts

As an Roleplayer in the Tumblr community, I’m fine with other muses commenting on posts my muse makes or reblogging asks I’ve been sent with their own take on what was posted about. In fact, I LIKE IT! It’s fun! But I’m not sure who else wants that interaction on their RP blog like this- so if you reblog this I’ll know it’s okay to interact with your character this way.

Image

(Just remember don’t re-blog RolePlay threads that aren’t yours! Usually those are between specific people, and outside people reblogging them makes it difficult to keep track of when their partner has responded. But re-blogging general posts and asks with in-character shenanigans? Do it! Let’s have some fun!!!)

If you do NOT want other Muses commenting on your general posts reblog THIS link instead.

The Hunt continues

The sound of a minstrel singing carried through the hall over the din of glasses clinking and drunken laughter. Rementhil sighed and took another swig of the swill he had been served. His noble clothing had been cast aside in favor of simple leathers and a large hooded cloak, looking more akin to a ranger then a baron.

Rumors were what he had come for, and he had not been disappointed. Missing children, a witch in the woods, the desecration of the cemetery. Things had calmed down a bit, the villagers were convinced some savior adventurer had killed the evil that had plagued their town. More likely that his prey had just moved on again, just like the last village. But he was getting closer.

Rementhil rose from his seat, leaving a couple gold coins on the table and giving a few to the bard before turning toward the door and making his way out. He wrapped his cloak about himself tighter as the damp, cold air hit him. He began to walk, turning his back to the village and making his way across the moor.

Net neutrality is the principle that Internet providers like Comcast & Verizon should not control what we see and do online. In 2015, startups, Internet freedom groups, and 3.7 million commenters won strong net neutrality rules from the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The rules prohibit Internet providers from blocking, throttling, and paid prioritization—"fast lanes" for sites that pay, and slow lanes for everyone else.

John Oliver on the danger of ending net neutrality:

On what ending net neutrality means for us:

Time to call your members of Congress, again.

Please guys, don’t ignore this stuff. This will negatively affect everyone and we need to stop it.

Prepare to be annoyed by me because I’ll never stop reposting about this until something is done

I hate diverging into reality on here. But this will end the internet as we know it. Its one thing you should hate if you’re left or right wing. Its not about promoting business. Its corporate greed. 3 big telecom companies gaining control of everything.

So call your senators. And your representative. Tell them to make net neutrality law. Then call them the next day. And then the day after. And keep calling every single day. Fax them. Email them. Best yet show up at their offices in person. At town halls. At public appearances. Do not let up.

Everyone needs to get involved. Net neutrality is something we should all care about.
