I read somewhere once that it takes a certain kind of darkness to see the stars & that is something I still never fail to forget. It remained a constant thought in my mind because it made my fondness of the dark seem ordinary. It made me believe with my whole heart that my sadness was convenient & my objection towards the sun wasn’t mad. That is after all, what some humans lack. Convenience. Any from of normality. A charcoal night lit solely by stars.

Ultimately the ‘I love you’s’ turned repetitive. I don’t think we actually felt them. It was kinda like eating when you’re bored. We weren’t hungry, but there was nothing else to do.
