I wouldn’t say a lot, there’s some in every fandom and it’s cool for younger people to be into their music (as me being relatively younger compared to Gen X and later agrees) but it’s quite uncomfortable for me as it can get pretty sexual pretty fast. I know people like my sibling’s age know about sex and stuff but I don’t want to banter about it with them. Like every other fandom also, there is a lot of cool people. 18-25 year olds I’d say, so I don’t know how old you are but that is my “ideal” interaction range. They seemed to not get a big wave of nostalgia like Nirvana so fans are scarcer in all age groups.

My favorite song by R.E.M. is EASILY Texarkana. It is a beautifully powerful song full of endless yearning and wanting what you can’t have. It’s loose enough to identify with it any time and concrete enough to apply it to your own life. You’ll always need someone to catch you if you fall, and it’s easily Mike’s best vocal performance. I don’t even think try not to breathe and fall on me, fellow masterpieces and my runner ups, come close to touching it. That’s how high I praise it.

Yes! Absolutely! I would steer clear of the fandom though. There is a lot of cool people and if you come off anon (since this came in like yesterday I swear I’m still active on here lol) I’ll tell you where to find them in DMs. However, lately, the loud majority are annoying kids that kind of “ruined” my experience with the fandom aspect of the band by being sort of extreme.
