DCMK Community

As some of you may have noticed, Tumblr started the beta phase for communities. I got the chance to create a german DCMK Community and have still a few spots open (it's limited to 25 members right now). So if you're interested in testing the new feature and partake in the community, send me a DM with your MAIN blog (sideblogs can't get invited at the moment).

If you're not german @elfsedan made an english one and you can write her. But since there are probably more english speaking members here than german ones, please don't be sad if you don't get in. Two detective freaks, who finish each other's deductions, sometimes in sync.

Lady!Shinichi being Bi, so she could crush on Ran too, but also Sonoko, Shiho, Heiji, Hakuba, Kaito (Maybe Eisuke too lol) etc.

The two shins solving cases with all the theatrics of Team Rocket

I feel Lady!Shinichi would go more down the actress path thanks to Yukiko, but she would enjoy it.

I also feel Lady!Shinichi would like the laboratory side of crime solving more. She still likes field work, but that's Shinichi's forte

In the case of being Shinichi becoming Conan, Lady!Shinichi would stay normal turn up the overbearing sister level to 11. Annoying not only Conan, but also Kaito when he's disguised as Shinichi. Glomping, noogies, etc.

She would have a better fashion sense that her twin brother.

It's not much but I will add some ideas that occurred to me, I hope you like them.

Unlike Shinichi, his sister does know how to play the violin and she is good at music in general. She teases him about it constantly.

They are both very competitive and spiteful, like any siblings. Once when they were little Shinichi ate the last slice of lemon pie and the next day his sister forced their parents to buy two lemon pies, and every night she put locks on the refrigerator so that his brother wouldn't eat them, just because her parents convinced her not to leave the locks 24 hours a day. One time she signed up for a music class just to annoy Shinichi not because she liked music, and Shinichi in revenge took the sewing class to learn how to make outfits that his twin liked so he would never give them to her (she had to pay if she wanted Shinichi to make her some clothes).

Their favorite dessert is lemon pie, but they tend to differ in everything else. For example, she prefers hot tea.

That would be all for now, I hope you like these ideas.

Also, a question, what is the sister's name?

These are all amazing! Love them all! I also picture Lady!Shinichi being an athlete. Track and Field, swimming, or rowing I can see her doing.

For her name, haven’t thought of one. What would a female equivalent of Shinichi be? His name means ‘one truth’, could her name be ‘prevails’ in Japanese?

I searched the internet for some names and found something interesting.

Katsu, it's a gender neutral name, means victorious/win.

I discovered this with the translator so it may be incorrect but, it seems that "The truth always prevails" in Japanese translates to "The truth always wins", so it could work for the idea you suggested.

Katsu Kudo. Cue her being teased being called ‘Neko-Chan’. Or the fact her name is like the panko chicken dish. I feel like she would try to go by a different name to be cool. Of course she’s a Kudo, so she’ll always be a dork.

Okay, as I said in the comments, Kaito's name means "ocean" "sea" and "soar" "fly", so I was looking for names with S that meant something similar or that I think suits her character (according to what we know about the character so far)

Oooh, I with the clash of auras Shihori and Shinichi might not get along too well. Or it’s one sided from Shihori. Heck, I might write a story where she nearly dies in a water escape because Shinichi is in the audience!

But anyway she's on the spectrum, and she's not available to people who don't respect her identity. And yes, magic being her true love sounds canon.

That said, I think Shihori finds Akako pretty, but she doesn't have a crush like I suggested before. So, as you say, sometimes he pretends to be attracted to her and flirts with her to annoy her, because she knows that her goal is her brother, not her, and she likes to annoy her that way. You know for funnies, since Sonoko likes KID, what if as her turn as KID Shihori gets a crush on Sonoko due to her genuine love for the magic. So we have comedy potential between Shihori and Katsu over crushing on Sonoko, and yet they team up against Makoto. But end up in situations like Laverne and Shirley or Lauren and Hardy.

Sounds pretty good!! Sonoko has a harem, and probable she doesn't even know. I have some incorrect quotes for this.

Y'all, the world is sleeping on what NASA just pulled off with Voyager 1

The probe has been sending gibberish science data back to Earth, and scientists feared it was just the probe finally dying. You know, after working for 50 GODDAMN YEARS and LEAVING THE GODDAMN SOLAR SYSTEM and STILL CHURNING OUT GODDAMN DATA.

So they analyzed the gibberish and realized that in it was a total readout of EVERYTHING ON THE PROBE. Data, the programming, hardware specs and status, everything. They realized that one of the chips was malfunctioning.

So what do you do when your probe is 22 Billion km away and needs a fix? Why, you just REPROGRAM THAT ENTIRE GODDAMN THING. Told it to avoid the bad chip, store the data elsewhere.

Sent the new code on April 18th. Got a response on April 20th - yeah, it's so far away that it took that long just to transmit.

And the probe is working again.

From a programmer's perspective, that may be the most fucking impressive thing I have ever heard.

Okay, as I said in the comments, Kaito's name means "ocean" "sea" and "soar" "fly", so I was looking for names with S that meant something similar or that I think suits her character (according to what we know about the character so far)

I found several interesting names, and narrowed the list down to these three options:

— Shihori, female name, means "aspiration" "ambition" "goal" and "preserve" "protect" "guarantee" and "principle" "logic" "reason".

— Saika, gender neutral name, means "happiness" "good fortune" "luck" and "moon" "mounth".

— Syoko (pronounced as Shoko), female name, means "soar" "fly" "glide" and "child" "offspring" "young" "junior" "small thing".

And, as another hc for Shihori, I don't know why but it occurred to me that unlike Kaito who doesn't fall for Akako's charm, Shihori does have a big crush on her. Its not as radical as Akako's followers/servants, but she is indeed a little "charmed" by her. What do you think?

Oooh, I with the clash of auras Shihori and Shinichi might not get along too well. Or it’s one sided from Shihori. Heck, I might write a story where she nearly dies in a water escape because Shinichi is in the audience!

I can Shihori being charmed by Akako, but I feel should over play it to annoy Akako and to make the boys jealous. I kinda like the idea of making her ace or Demi. ‘Magic is her one true love’.

I can kinda sorta see a relationship between Kaito and Shihori like the leads in Remington Steele. Antagonistic but caring partners.

It's "mne-eeh-t." "Mne-eht" said with that soft tongue on the upper palette French sound or "mee-yet". I put the "n" because the pretty tongue roll on the "y" kinda sounds "n"-like to me.

Lady!Shinichi being Bi, so she could crush on Ran too, but also Sonoko, Shiho, Heiji, Hakuba, Kaito (Maybe Eisuke too lol) etc.

The two shins solving cases with all the theatrics of Team Rocket

I feel Lady!Shinichi would go more down the actress path thanks to Yukiko, but she would enjoy it.

I also feel Lady!Shinichi would like the laboratory side of crime solving more. She still likes field work, but that's Shinichi's forte

In the case of being Shinichi becoming Conan, Lady!Shinichi would stay normal turn up the overbearing sister level to 11. Annoying not only Conan, but also Kaito when he's disguised as Shinichi. Glomping, noogies, etc.

She would have a better fashion sense that her twin brother.

It's not much but I will add some ideas that occurred to me, I hope you like them.

Unlike Shinichi, his sister does know how to play the violin and she is good at music in general. She teases him about it constantly.

They are both very competitive and spiteful, like any siblings. Once when they were little Shinichi ate the last slice of lemon pie and the next day his sister forced their parents to buy two lemon pies, and every night she put locks on the refrigerator so that his brother wouldn't eat them, just because her parents convinced her not to leave the locks 24 hours a day. One time she signed up for a music class just to annoy Shinichi not because she liked music, and Shinichi in revenge took the sewing class to learn how to make outfits that his twin liked so he would never give them to her (she had to pay if she wanted Shinichi to make her some clothes).

Their favorite dessert is lemon pie, but they tend to differ in everything else. For example, she prefers hot tea.

Katsu, it's a gender neutral name, means victorious/win.

I discovered this with the translator so it may be incorrect but, it seems that "The truth always prevails" in Japanese translates to "The truth always wins", so it could work for the idea you suggested.

Katsu Kudo. Cue her being teased being called ‘Neko-Chan’. Or the fact her name is like the panko chicken dish. I feel like she would try to go by a different name to be cool. Of course she’s a Kudo, so she’ll always be a dork.

enough reclaiming slurs, I think in 2023 we should reclaim nascar. they banned the confederate flag on all properties & their stance on lgbtq+ isn’t just performative bc in 2013 they fined a driver 10k for using a homophobic slur, condemned indiana in a statement for an anti lgbt law, and partnered w carolina’s lgbt+ chamber of conference in 2022. nascar was founded by anti-cop moonshiners/bootleggers who drove suped-up fords to out-run the police. #yaaascar

To this day, my favorite argument I ever had was with my Nascar-loving family about how a thin blue line flag on a Nascar is antithetical to the core tenets of Nascar. There is no organization more rooted in ACAB than Nascar. Literally, the only reason it exists was that a bunch of moonshining families had to build cars that could outrun the cops while on supply runs during the Prohibition Era. The goal was to make the car look like a regular vehicle so they could pick up supplies or drop off illegal alcohol without arousing suspicion. But if the cops were on you all you had to do was put the pedal to the metal and that little truck could outrun them with no problems. And of course, families would be in competition over who made the best alcohol, and whose car was fastest. So, they would have races on the weekends. When prohibition was lifted, the races continued. And that is why we have Nascar. It really frustrates me how people look at American car culture and scoff at it. Formula One racing is more exciting and more dynamic to watch, but the history of it is not as interesting: a bunch of rich assholes who made specialized cars for racing. And to this day, it is still a rich man's sport. Whereas Nascar was about a bunch of so-called hicks in the backwoods who used some basic hand tools and trial and error to make a junker into a racecar.
