Money Bowl Tips ✨💸

I absolutely adore doing money bowls. They serve as an amazing way to build up abundant energy and help with layering your workings. They’re a fairly straightforward working that you tend to by continually feeding it energy or “working” the spell. Let’s jump into some tips.

1.) Have a schedule with it. I recommend feeding your bowl energy fairly often, ideally weekly on Thursdays, but at least once a month. Thursdays are connected to Jupiter which is the planet connected to wealth and abundance. 🪐

2.) Add a candle. A fairly low energy way to keep up with tending to your bowl is to spell a candle for it. After it’s prepped and ready, place it in the bowl. Lighting the candle will feed the bowl energy. 🕯️

3.) The base is just as important as the rest of the bowl. Commonly you use salt or rice for the base. I recommend going a little extra with it. Recently I’ve been into making spell crafted cinnamon salt and using that as my bowl base. Put energy and intention behind making your bowl’s base. It’s literally the foundation of this spell!

3.) *some* herbs you can use in money workings: Alfalfa, dill, basil, chamomile, bay leaves, catnip, oranges, cloves, lemongrass, jasmine, cinnamon, allspice, ginger, mints, star anise, cats claw, and oregano. There are a bunch of options. These ones just have direct correspondence to money drawing.

4.) Set goals for your bowl. Whenever you feed your bowl, focus on this goal you’re driving towards. With money magic you ideally want to be as specific as you can be. These can be long term or short term goals. I usually focus on long term and building stability and sustainable energy flowing to that goal.

I hope these tips bring some ideas for making your own money bowls. 🖤🌱

Ares isn't just violence.

To me, Ares is energy. He's courage and He's determination. He motivates us to push through when we feel like we can't. He is the voice in our head which tells us to keep going. He's strength and He's perseverance, He's warmth and support.

When you fight for what's right, He's standing right there beside you. He pushes us to be the best, to achieve greatness, but He won't let us break. He's the older brother who watches you struggle so you learn and get stronger, but He still loves you and wants the best for you.

He's kind and He's gentle and there's so much to Him that I could never put in words. So don't write Him off because's He's the God of War.

I just love Him. so so so so so much. And I wanted to share that because I think He's pretty neat<3

Celebrating Beltane Alone

Beltane takes place on the night of April 30th and into May 1st for the Northern Hemisphere and the night of October 31st and into November 1st for the Southern Hemisphere. It is usually a festival celebrated amongst close friends, fellow witches, and loved ones with plenty of food, drink, and activities to go around; but if you don’t know any other witches, or are in the broom-closet, or aren’t able to be around others, here are some ideas on how to celebrate it by yourself.

Before Beltane:
  • Decorate your home - or room - with colorful ribbons of reds, whites, and pinks, bells on your door, and heart shaped cut-outs.
  • Go for a walk in nature, collecting blooming flowers and branches and leaves along the way - remember to ask permission before taking - and see and feel the fertility of nature all around you. Can’t go outside? Try to purchase some fake flowers for later use and watch nature outside your window or watch nature videos and listen to nature sounds online.
  • Leave an offering to the Fae (milk, honey, cakes, etc.)
  • Gather supplies for the holiday. Some items you will need besides flowers include ribbons, ingredients for food and drink, sticks or pencils or a “pole” like item, candles or electric candles, etc. Create a list of everything you need so you can remember.
  • Create a Beltane basket. These are baskets filled with real or fake flowers, herbs, and goodwill. You would give them to friends, family members, and/or a partner or partners, but you can make one for yourself and keep it as a decoration in your home. Other options include making one for your altar and/or making one (or multiples) for the Deity or Deities you worship.
  • Speaking of altars, decorate yours for the coming holiday. Include any of the following: colorful ribbons, feathers, and flowers, green leaves, shed antlers, a maypole made just for your altar, a red, green, or pink candle, some sweet or floral incense, gemstones such as garnet or rose quartz. You can also include any symbols or colors from Deities you worship.
Beltane morning:
  • Wash your face, either outside in the dew of the morning or indoors.
  • Take a bath using fresh flower petals or a colorful bath bomb.
  • Wear something flowy, that’s either embroidered or adorned with flowers, and go barefoot for the day (if you’re able to).
  • Give your Beltane baskets to those you made it for: whether it be others, yourself, your altar, or Deities, now’s the time to hand them out.
  • Create a Maypole. You can make a mini one using a stick from outdoors or a pencil, basically any pole-like items will do, and attach colorful ribbons to the top. With each ribbon you attach, feel free to make a wish.
Beltane day:
  • If you are able to, write wishes on ribbons and toss them around a tree’s branches outside.
  • Create flower wreaths from the blooming flowers you collected, or use fake flowers you bought. You can also weave them into your hair.
  • Cook, bake, eat, and celebrate. Some normal Beltane foods include a platter of fruit, wine or lemonade, breads, cakes, and cookies.
  • If you haven’t already, or want to do so again, leave an offering for the Fae either outside or by a window.
  • Create or start something, whether it be a garden, a story, artwork, etc. Now’s the time to begin to create and nurture something new.
Beltane night:
  • Light the bonfires. Beltane is known for its bonfires, specifically creating two large bonfires that both people and livestock walk between to become cleansed and blessed. If you can’t make two outdoor bonfires, use two candles or electric candles and walk between them.
  • Put happy, energetic music on and leap and dance to your heart’s content. Include your mini Maypole, if it is sturdy enough, and hold it out as you spin and dance in circles with it, even tying one or more ribbons completely around the Maypole. If you can’t play music or dance at night then do this during the day or play softer, more nature-inspired music and dance swiftly into the night.
  • Practice divination - Beltane and Samhain are the two holidays when the veil is the thinnest, so divination of any type will be quite strong during Beltane.
  • Cast a spell or two. Spells strongest during Beltane include any spells that utilize wildflowers, fertility spells, and spells that attract new love.
  • Meditate before the night is over. Think of your own growth, creation, and what you find pleasure in or what pleases you. Then, either watch the sunrise before falling asleep or sleep whenever you become tired ♡

Welcome to the ancestors and other various friendly spirits visiting through the thinned veil in the north, and praise the gods for bringing us new life in the south.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Samhain in the northern hemisphere, and a happy Beltane to those celebrating in the southern hemisphere.
