literally so embarrassing to have someone go "i don't go here" or "what's this from?" on my art and it's a rarepair/crackship that is in no way representative of the source material... and i have to be like. well you see, the rest of the restaurant's menu is not like this. i'm doing my own thing eating black olives right out of the can in the back-of-house. whether or not you want me to throw you a can, you have to understand that's not what they serve out front

Honestly after all these years I still don’t understand why Griffith gave that speech at primrose hall. Did he really mean all the things he said, but was only referring to the hawks and excluding guts? Also, why do you think guys was so affected by the speech but Casca wasn’t (if I’m interpreting correctly)?
ik it’s a pretty common take among griffguts fans that Griffith was making the speech mainly to impress Charlotte and didn’t necessarily mean it, or that Guts is excluded by default and he just didn’t specify bc why would he lol, and I’m all for those interpretations, especially in fic and stuff bc it simplifies things nicely.
But on a more analytical level I definitely think Griffith meant every word he said, up to and including not considering Guts a friend. Because Griffith is stupid and repressed.
