she sits in front of him, a toothbrush sticking out from her mouth. it’s a nightly ritual for the two of them. she finds that it saves her hair from getting so tangled in the mornings when she goes to brush it out. she cherishes these moments with just her and him with no shinki or araya around. not to say she doesn’t love her brothers and her family, she does, but she’s definitely a papa’s girl. her papa is really good with hair and she finds herself nodding off before he’s even finished braiding it.

& as the comb pulls through thick locks, hinata can’t help but feel a sense of TRANQUILITY wash over her. the kazekage held a title of power & respect . . . yet she’d never met someone with such a delicate touch. ivory fingers clasp in her lap, head tilting back to allow full access to navy strands. moon filled gaze lands on the silken fabric laid out on the table beside them. it was beautifully dyed, vibrant blues & purples splattered on a white canvas. it must have cost him more than he was willing to admit to.
