How often can you see Lara hugging someone? Not too much. Jean Yves ( later Charles Kane) is a dear friend for Lara for that she ran for his rescue the second she find out he was kidnapped. I really like this not over emotional realistic relationship they have.

This scene follows the iconic " I'm not a man, Jean" quote which I adore the way she tells it ❤
